Interaction with Guests
My work schedule varies from week to week. I'm a musician, teacher, and audio engineer - I’m usually out working during the day, but occasionally work on projects or teach music lessons at home in the afternoons. I’m always available by phone or text message if you need something. I love getting to know my guests and enjoy having travelers in my home.
My place is located in Brooklyn’s diverse and bustling neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant, an eclectic area that is quickly becoming the go-to neighborhood of Brooklyn. The neighborhood is well-lit and very safe to walk around at all times.
You’ll be right by the C local train at Kingston-Throop Ave, which will take you to lower Manhattan in 15 minutes and to midtown (areas like Times Square and Central Park) in 25-30 minutes.
On my block, there is a café, a pharmacy, a large supermarket, two laundromats, a fruit and vegetable market, a healthcare center, 24/7 convenience stores, a liquor store, among other restaurants, and a variety of shops There is also a park directly behind the apartment.
It’s a short walk to trendy bars, cafés, and restaurants, shopping, as well as a large supermarket with an ample organic selection.
Additionally, it’s a quick bus or train ride to Brooklyn Academy of Music, Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Brooklyn Bridge, Barclay’s Center (home of the Brooklyn Nets) and to the Willamsburg, Fort Greene, and Downtown Brooklyn neighborhoods.
The apartment is right next to the C train at Kingston-Throop Avenue. The C train will take you to lower Manhattan in 15 minutes and to Midtown with areas like Times Square and Columbus Circle (Central Park) in 25-30 minutes.
Both JFK and LaGuardia airports are about 20 minutes away via cab, depending on traffic (it usually costs around $30). These airports can also be reached via public transportation, which takes about an hour.
It’s also a 6 minute walk to the A express train at Nostrand Ave and a 12 minute walk or a quick bus ride to the 3 train at Kingston Ave.
The B25 and B43 bus stops right in front of my building, taking you to Fort Greene, Downtown Brooklyn, and Williamsburg.
There is plenty of free parking around the building.
Other Things to Note
There is no elevator. If you are concerned about carrying your luggage up or down the stairs (there are three flights), we're more than happy to help - we have lots of practice. :)

Summer is really nice and considered. Her room is very warm, bright and clean. The location is good, the metro station is just right down stair and within 30 seconds' away. The shops and restaurants are nearby, very convenient. I got a surprise the day I left. Thank you, Summer and your boyfriend. Wish you both more and more success in music. I definitely recommend Summer's house.
Summer was very welcoming and accommodating. She even contacted me to let me know that I forgot my kindle after I checked out -- luckily before I left NYC! The apartment was charming, clean, and comfortable, and the free parking nearby was a great plus.
Our stay in Summer's place was very pleasant. She was accomodating and helpful. Her apartment was spick and span, even cleaner than some hotels we've been into! Although both my husband and I were always out and mostly kept to ourselves while we were home, we felt welcome in her warm home. A plus factor was that the apartment was just a stone throw away from the subway --- we didn't have to freeze on the way to or from the metro. We definitely recommend this place to others!
Summer is an excellent host! I cannot think of enough kind words to describe her. She made our stay very pleasant. We were stuck in NY for an extra day because of a snowstorm in Boston and she let us crash at her place for an extra night and I can never thank her enough for that. I have had the best airbnb experience at Summer's place. Her place is perfectly clean and very well kept. It was super warm inside although it was freezing out. The location of her place is literally ten seconds from the subway stop that takes u straight to Manhattan. I strongly recommend this place and would love to come back again! Thanks Summer for being so amazing!
Summer's appartment is very clean, very conveniently located, and we had a great stay at her place. Summer is a great host that does everything to make you feel at home. Thanks Summer!
We had a delayed flight so we only arrived at Summer's place late in the evening. She rushed down to pick us up from a Deli across the street. It felt like a save haven in a the large city of NY which may be pretty harsh. Everything is tidy and clean. The room is cosy and we slept very comfortable. Our stay with her and her boyfriend Joao was a delight. We enjoyed spending some time with them chatting about their life, their careers as musicians and just everyday stuff. Thank you so much Summer and Joao for your hospitality!

This was my very first time using airbnb and I'm so happy it was with Summer - She is awesome! I can't imagine a better experience. She made us feel completely welcome, comfortable, and was so kind and generous the entire time we were there. Overall really cool person!
Her whole apartment is super clean and warm, even when it was freezing outside! She had snacks waiting in the room for us and her own guide of great restaurants to try/things to do around the area, which was extremely helpful. We were fortunate enough to stay on a weekend day when she was home, so it was great to enjoy some nice conversation & even try some of her cooking!
The area itself is super cool and filled with lots of great restaurants. Seriously just a few feet from the subway!
I would definitely stay with her again the next time I'm in NYC!
I'm a musician, audio engineer, and music teacher who teaches around the NYC area.
I love having travelers stay in my home and look forward to meeting you.
