Interaction with guests
I will be at hand if you want me to be. I love cooking. There are a selection of meals on offer, ranging from delicious home made guacamole, to jerk chicken and all kinds of salads and wraps. Lets have a barbecue! Ask me about things to do and places to go. I can take you to some very lovely off the beaten track gems. Talking of gems: Sri Lanka is the land of Moonstones and Blue Saphires. Dont just buy them off the high street!
I'll be out of your way if you want the privacy. Want sri lankan food? Kumara is the man! With Chamila, his wife, let them spoil you with the best home made Sri Lankan food. There is nowhere where you will taste better freshly prepared food.
Other things to note
Complimentary Tea, coffee and mineral water.
Extra food available on request - the best local cuisine in town!
Not too many.....please do not take the towels out of the house.
When in Asia use a sarong on the beach - it dries quicker and a towel becomes cumbersome.
The kitchen is for general use, so please keep it tidy and clean.
Same with the terrace and communal areas - be kind to your environment and smile a lot!!
Having had a very busy life - now starting to call down a bit..... sort of.
I have four grown up kids who have taken over my life for a long time - and I have been running a busy production company in Spain for many years.
My favourite pass-times are traveling and food. When at my place you will eat well, for sure.
I want to make it special when you come and stay - I appreciate constructive criticism .
I love quirky people - love sudden spurts of madness and letting my hair down, but am quite calm and responsible most of the time . If there is a live concert it will take me out and i will probably be the last one home, but otherwise I don't go out much.
I am one to mix in with the locals and love the local food and markets - will spend hours chatting and finding out more - I help a charity in Hikkaduwa called Manacare - they do great things - I just give them my love and help a little if i can.
I love to read - real life experiences - travel books - all about Asia.
I am a bit of an artist and love all form of art - from photography, to painting , though fabric design and interior design and recently have been making 'mandalas' which I find very therapeutic.
My motto: smile and be happy and dont interfere in how others lead their lives - we are all different!
