My classmates and I had a great experience at this Victorian home! I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the area looking to ski at Belleayre or Hunter! It was great working with Carol to set up our stay and she is very responsive and easy to work with.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful overall New Years experience at this beautiful B&B in the heart of the Catskills. Before our arrival we called and got a great recommendation on non-skiing activities from Peter including Howes Cavern which we visited and absolutely loved the unique experience.
We found the place relatively easily and walked in to a warm greeting by Peter. He showed us the very quaint sitting rooms and to our very well adorned bedroom. They had even thrown in a bottle of white wine for us which we greatly appreciated. We asked in advance if the hot tub was working, but unfortunately it was out of order for a few weeks awaiting parts.
The bed was a possible attractive antique, a bit creaky for our liking, but filled with sheets and pillows that make you want to spend the whole day in bed. Must've been like a few thousand thread count on those sheets! :)
Breakfast in the morning was freshly made scones, eggs, cereal, tea, and fresh juice deliciousness. We went about our day returned to a warm sitting room with games and a fireplace.
Peter mentioned that there was an additional fee of $20 for tax which surprised us but we paid it trusting that all was in order.
Overall a wonderful experience.
We had a wonderful experience!! Carol was a very gracious host, the accommodations were lovely and clean, and the breakfast was out of this world. It is well located in terms of hiking trails, as well as Belleayre Mountain for skiing. I will definitely be recommending this warm stay to friends and family and we plan on returning sometime soon.
A very beautiful bed and breakfast. Gorgeous Victorian house with lots of period furniture. Lovely grounds. Very nice breakfast was served.
