My husband I on were on the first leg of a cross country road trip. I had never stayed in the Catskills and were excited to find a nice airbnb in our price range. The Inn is a beautifully decorated Victorian Inn. Our room was quite attractive and comfortable. The next morning Carol served homemade pancakes and bacon.
We had a nice stay at Carol's place at our trip from Buffalo to Long Island. Everything was fine. The Bed&Breakfast place is located in the beautiful landscape of the Catskills. The town is just down the road with supermarkets, bars & restaurants.
The bed was to soft tough and windows couldn't really be opened in our room. (there are lots of rooms).
We only used it to split up the trip. For exploreres of the region probably a good base for trips into the countryside.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful overall New Years experience at this beautiful B&B in the heart of the Catskills. Before our arrival we called and got a great recommendation on non-skiing activities from Peter including Howes Cavern which we visited and absolutely loved the unique experience.
We found the place relatively easily and walked in to a warm greeting by Peter. He showed us the very quaint sitting rooms and to our very well adorned bedroom. They had even thrown in a bottle of white wine for us which we greatly appreciated. We asked in advance if the hot tub was working, but unfortunately it was out of order for a few weeks awaiting parts.
The bed was a possible attractive antique, a bit creaky for our liking, but filled with sheets and pillows that make you want to spend the whole day in bed. Must've been like a few thousand thread count on those sheets! :)
Breakfast in the morning was freshly made scones, eggs, cereal, tea, and fresh juice deliciousness. We went about our day returned to a warm sitting room with games and a fireplace.
Peter mentioned that there was an additional fee of $20 for tax which surprised us but we paid it trusting that all was in order.
Overall a wonderful experience.
