About This Listing
EXPLORE ST. PETE FROM THIS AMAZING, LUSH, AND RELAXING GETAWAY---- IF YOU EVER END UP LEAVING YOUR OWN PRIVATE POOL-SIDE OASIS!!!! TWO MILES FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO AND ST. PETE BEACH!
You have your own private entrance to this stunning oasis. Every where you turn there is something that draws your attention--- the sparkling blue pool, the blooming Jasmine, the dazzling and hypnotic stone waterfall, the cabana, the gazebo---something is always in bloom. Dozens of places to get some sun, read a book or snooze. The Master itself has a full bathroom with tub and shower, a deluxe king size bed that is outrageously comfortable, 600+ thread count sheets, a spectacular 50 in HD tv with HBO, a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I've got beach chairs, towels, coolers, toys--everything you need for the ocean. The location is super convenient. I'm minutes from the white sand of St. Pete Beach---only 2 miles away. Downtown Gulfport with it's funky shops, great restaurants, ARTwalk and farmer's market is a mile away. Gorgeous downtown St. Petersburg is only 7 miles away. Don't even get me started about how great downtown St. Pete is!
The entire outside area is yours to enjoy while you stay here. If you want to grill some burgers, hot dogs or fresh caught fish, feel free! Although you don't have access to a full kitchen, I'll have everything you need for a cookout ready for you including plates and utensils, cups, napkins and condiments. There's plenty of room in the fridge for anything for the cookout and of course left-overs from all the great restaurants here in town. The pool area is wired for sound so you can tap into your iTunes collection while you soak up the rays. Wifi inside and out.
Interaction with Guests
I'm a Realtor and I renovate and flip properties for a living so my schedule is flexible and I will be here to greet you on your arrival. You set the course for interaction. I'm a St. Pete enthusiast, know a lot about the city, it's history, and have AWESOME recommendations for restaurants, boat charters, bars, and neighborhoods to explore if you're interested. That being said--- I have a great respect for peace of mind and privacy so that is exactly what you will find when you stay here. Like I said-- you set the interaction.
Although this is a new listing on AirBnB-- I am not new to vacation rentals. I had over 43 five star reviews when this property was listed on another Vacation Rental site. In fact, I've helped many people who have stayed here purchase a house because they loved St. Pete so much after their visit.
The neighborhood is quiet, safe and super convenient to just about anything you want to do. You're SO close to St. Pete Beach but you're not living in beach traffic. A straight shot on a one way street with timed lights will get you to our gorgeous waterfront downtown in a flash. Technically I'm in Gulfport ( a municipality of St. Petersburg) but the houses across the street are in Pasadena ( another municipality!) and 2 blocks away the houses are in St. Pete proper. 1 mile from Publix, Winn Dixie, CVS, Starbucks, bike rentals and a great organic supermaket! Shopping? The Tyrone Square Mall is only a few minutes away. The houses in my neighborhood are older-- most built in the 50's--but there are some incredible old Mediterraneans and Mid-Century modern houses sprinkled through out the streets. The beautiful campus of Stetson Law School is just a few blocks away. I love living here!
You can park in the front driveway or you can park in your own parking space accessed through the alley--- you're choice. There are local buses as well as a trolley that goes to downtown St. Pete, Gulfport, and the gulf beaches however a car really is a necessity.
Other Things to Note
Prices do not include the cost of heating the pool. If you would like to have the pool heated we can discuss it and make arrangements.
I have a dog and a cat. My dog Kava is the sweetest thing ever but how much you interact with her is entirely up to you. She rarely barks. Seriously. The last time I heard her bark was over 2 months ago. I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true. Neither will have access to your room. From the sounds of it you probably wouldn't know I even had a dog or a cat unless I told you. But there--- I just did. :)
The cat's name is Emmett, BTW, and he's nothing short of awesome.
NO smoking inside--- outside is perfectly fine.
NO drugs inside or outside. Please and thank you.
I'm all for you enjoying yourself so please-- have a cocktail or beer while you enjoy your stay here. HOWEVER--
NO glass or beer bottles in the pool area.
PLEASE do not over-consume. It's embarrassing. And dangerous. If you cause a scene and the police come you WILL be sent packing and you will NOT get a refund. SO--- Just be cool, okay? Okay!
Please respect my neighbors. Keep the music at a respectful level. Music gets turned off by 10pm.
Check in is at 3pm and Check out is at 11am but I'm flexible unless another guest is arriving the same day. Then we gotta stick to the rules. Capisce?
We were greeted by Rob to his beautiful place.Rob was very helpful with places to eat and places to see
We had a wonderful stay. Enjoyed the pool and garden very much. Robert is a thoughtful host and his dog and cat were nice company during our meals by the pool. Much recommended!
Fabulous! What a gorgeous place...plants all around the pool and home. The room was cozy, clean and provided everything we needed. The bed was fantastic! I slept like a rock on all three nights. Robert was a kind and sweet host...he even phoned another realtor about a rental home we spotted on our bike ride. As it turns out, it was rented already. We did find another house and are moving into Gulfport May 1, 2015!!!
Five stars in my book for this place. I will be referring my family and friends to Robert's place.
Robb was a wonderful host, we would recommend him to anyone looking for a place to stay in Gulfport/St. Petersburg. He is very knowledgeable about the area and eager to share. We found several good restaurants because of him and a place to kayak. This saved us a lot of time because we didn’t have to do any research. For the most part our paths didn’t cross, however Robb made a point of telling us to text him if we needed anything.
His place was well kept and had additional amenities such as beach chairs, a cooler, coffee maker, magazines, etc. We slept well; the bed was much more comfortable than anything you would find in a hotel. Coming from Cleveland, our favorite thing about Robb’s place was his yard. It has lush vegetation, several seating areas, a fountain, and a pool. It was a nice place to relax at the beginning and end of the day. Additionally, he has the sweetest dog and cat. He made sure we were ok with them first, so I suspect if guests aren’t comfortable he would make an effort to keep them contained to his side of the house.
We can’t say enough good things about Robb and our stay at his place.
I was made to feel welcome the moment I arrived. Rob is quiet but readily talked to me each morning and evening that we met. Kava the dog and Elliott the cat were great. Kava never barked and I mean never during the whole 18 days I was there. And Elliott is also very friendly. It is a great place to just lay back and relax by the pool by yourself. The neighbourhood is quiet and a pleasure to walk through. People in the community are very friendly. I was able to make myself breakfast each morning and coffee and sit by the pool. It never rained. There is a Starbucks within walking distance (I walked to it every day) and some restaurants. Everything was just great! If you want to get around you will need a car unless you are like me and really like to walk.
Rob is an outstanding host who met me on arrival and did everything to make sure I had what I needed. For example he ran out to the store within hours of my settling in to buy something to aid in my breakfast-making!
He is friendly and helpful and both his dog and cat are sweet, yet respectful visitors. The outdoor space is very pretty and comfortable and a great place to relax. I spent a lot of time in these gardens since the room itself
doesn't have much space to hang out and move around. When inside, however, there is a huge TV that has all the cable stations and
provides a great nighttime treat.
This location is awesome.....so easy to get to beaches and yet a short drive to downtown as well. It's close to Gulfport as well as places to walk without taking a car.
I enjoyed my week at Rob's home - he is a real sweetheart - and would definitely return to St. Petersburg.
