Interaction with Guests
Lots of interaction if you'd like. I love the neighborhood and can let you know all of the cool places that only locals know!
Williamsburg is the center of the NYC creative community, therefore the neighborhood is young and Safe day or night 24 hours. The train also runs 24 hours and my apartment is a 5-8 min walk to a subway. It is one stop away from Manhattan so you will be able to get around the city fast. There lots of restaurant, coffee shops, vintage shops, bars, art and music exhibition all around my apartment. Traveling will be perfectly fine as I host often it would be my pleasure to show you around a some local places if you'd like.
Public transit is fast. J M train is 5 min away and it is one stop to manhattan. L train at Bedford stop is 6 min away and that is one stop to Manhattan. Williamsburg bridge is 3 blocks away. It takes 20 min to time square. 15 min to union square. 5 min to lower east side. 20 min to Wall Street and 15 min to soho.
Clean up after yourself.
Keep it quiet at night.
Nice place that was clean and quiet for a nights sleep on a weekend night. Perfect spot if you're there short term and wanting to explore Williamsburg. As other reviewers mentioned it's very much more hostel than your usual AirBnB. I never had any interactions with a host and the lack of door locks / or even a provided pad lock leaves you at the mercy of other guests. Luckily the other guests I had interaction with were friendly but adding a level of security / safety would be something to consider.
This was a good place to stay at a reasonable price. The hosts were promptly responsive and my buddy and I had no major issues with the place. Our room was clean (if a bit bare bones) and it was a perfect place to leave our things safely and get some shut eye in between exploring the city. The bathrooms are a bit Spartan as well but nothing to complain about. The subway was also pretty close, about a 7-8 minute walk to the Marcy Ave station which was perfect. The neighborhood can seem a bit sketchy at first but it actually felt pretty safe to walk around at night (provided that you have your wits about you and take care of yourself). It's not the 4 seasons but definitely worth your while if you're looking to spend a few days in NYC and not spend a ton of money on accommodations.
This was a great place to stay, the location was perfect. Williamsburg was a few stops to the city and has a really cool vibe with good places to eat and shop. This apartment was a short walk to the subway station and felt safe at night.
The room and communal areas were clean during our stay and we had no problems with noise. It did have a hostel/university feel which we enjoyed and was good to ask advise from other people staying.
Great price, we would recommend.
Amazing location for food, bars, shopping, transport. Clean and spacious room for two of us. There aren't any windows in the room, but otherwise it was perfect!
