Interaction with Guests
Lots of interaction if you'd like. I love the neighborhood and can let you know all of the cool places that only locals know!
Williamsburg is the center of the NYC creative community, therefore the neighborhood is young and Safe day or night 24 hours. The train also runs 24 hours and my apartment is a 5-8 min walk to a subway. It is one stop away from Manhattan so you will be able to get around the city fast. There lots of restaurant, coffee shops, vintage shops, bars, art and music exhibition all around my apartment. Traveling will be perfectly fine as I host often it would be my pleasure to show you around a some local places if you'd like.
Public transit is fast. J M train is 5 min away and it is one stop to manhattan. L train at Bedford stop is 6 min away and that is one stop to Manhattan. Williamsburg bridge is 3 blocks away. It takes 20 min to time square. 15 min to union square. 5 min to lower east side. 20 min to Wall Street and 15 min to soho.
Clean up after yourself.
Keep it quiet at night.
The location is good and the instructions were clear but the place is NOT as advertised. The photographs are very deceiving as the place was clean but rundown. The door lock of the slider to the garden is broken and can't be locked securely. The bathroom has poorly repaired drywall, stained tiles, etc. No small towels or paper towels for you to dry your hands with. The room is so small that there is barely space to move around or even a chair or table to put things on.
In sum, very disappointing.
My boyfriend and I recently spent a day in Brooklyn and stayed at Deandra's place. We were late for the check in time and I loved that we didn't have to meet with Deandra and that we could arrive at anytime because she has a keypad lock. That was a nice luxury. I would say that the place is a lot smaller than I expected. Based off the pictures the place seemed really spacious. Our room wasn't that much bigger than a walk-in closet. Like the other reviews this place is more like a hotel. There are a lot of rooms in the same place. The place was clean, which matters a lot to me. Overall it was a good experience. The location was great! Wine store around the corner with a convenience store right across from the wine store.
We stayed four nights in this room and it was perfect for what we needed during our stay. The apartment has 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's relatively clean and gets refreshed by a cleaner regularly. Our towels were not so clean when we arrived but Deandra replaced them the next morning and was very friendly and helpful. It's also very convenient to access the place with a code key and come and go as we pleased. In general it's a comfortable room and quiet apartment so you can rest up after a long day of sight seeing and going out.
Be prepared to stay in a hostel!
Think: a lot of couples are staying here and thin walls. You get the idea!
The room was just big enough to accommodate my suitcase. Nothing apart from the bed inside the room.
I don't know who that guy in the profile pic is - I just met the property manager who is a nice guy.
On the flip side the location is gold!
Had a great time in Williamsburg.
Perfect location. Nice accommodation and all facilities were fine. Very chilled atmosphere. Would go back again.
