We welcome all to Anthurium Inn at Hale Nonno, our custom built, secluded retreat. Come to unplug from your day to day hustle and soak in the easy island lifestyle. Venture onto the newest black sand beaches and lava flows while relishing in Hawai’i’s unique island feel. This is one of the most diverse places on Earth, truly one of the most exceptional places where Aloha is born and raised.

**Your own transportation for getting around in this beautifully rural part of the island is needed.

The space
We offer our guests an artfully constructed, petite one bedroom suite nestled amongst native ferns and tropical flowers. With us you’ll fall asleep to the rhythmic sound of chirping tree frogs, and wake up with just the sounds of the birds and breeze.

Your sparkling clean hideaway is complete with comfy queen size bed, soft fresh linens, plush towels, armchair, wall mounted TV with Netflix, Hulu and speedy WiFi

Your ensuite bathroom offers a spacious tile shower, high pressured, filtered hawaiian rainwater, warm cedar accents and a skylight which provides generous lighting.

Custom kitchenette will be stocked with breakfast items for the FIRST MORNING of your stay! A homemade, deluxe continental breakfast normally including yogurt, hard boiled eggs, seasonal island fruits, home baked breads, coffee and tea ~*~

The kitchenette includes a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, chilled drinking water, hot water kettle, and all dishware needed for breakfast. - PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO COOKTOP

Breakfast is included for the first morning of your stay:) Enjoy it in our booth style cozy nook, then after a long day of voyaging, have a cold beverage in the evenings on the covered lanai. This outdoor seating is perfect for your take out dinners from the many wonderful and locally owned restaurants or for simply relaxing in the cool breeze listening to the bamboo chimes.

The lanai has a gate that we ask is kept closed to prevent our pups from visiting you in your space. All resident pets are outdoor pets to do not enter the cottage.

Leilani Estates is a well established, quiet and safe neighborhood. Our lot is located towards the top of the neighborhood, which remains untouched by the 2018 Kilauea lava flow (which ended in August, 2018)

It is a peaceful area perfect for strolling around in the day or for evening stargazing.

A 20 minute drive south has you on one of the most beautiful scenic drives on the Big Island, Puna’s Red Road. Along this coastal drive your senses will relish in the views, sounds and scents of crashing waves, surfing turtles, spinning dolphins and in the winter the majestic humpback whales.

Towering coconuts and other native trees crate a shimmering filtered light that seems to dance as you navigate along the slow twists and turns. This area is truly one of the most ✨ places on the island.

Heading North, less than 5 miles away is Historic Pahoa Village, which has excellent locally owned restaurants, a natural food store, grocery store and souvenir shops. There is also a Lava Museum which feature artifacts from the 2018 volcanic eruption, prints of local artist work and is hosted by knowledgeable staff who are ready to share their wealth of information with you.

Furthermore, there are nearby yoga classes, farmers markets, a public pool, and convenience stores all located in this historic and rustic village.
