My family and I had a lovely time in Kate's cottage. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome from Kate who was very hospitable. The cottage is a great spot for tranquility and opportunities to explore Connemara. We also loved the fireplace that kept us warm throughout the stay. A perfect getaway location!
What a wonderful spot! Gathered by beautiful landscape, cute sheep an cows. The cottage is a little cosy house with everything you need for daily requirements. We spent 5 lovely days in Kate & John's cottage and we were very glad about the Irish invention "hot-water bottle", since it was quite cold in Ireland, although it was supposed to be summer. ;) But so we could also enjoy relaxed nights warmed by the peat-chimneys. The cottage is perfecly located, Galway is only 1/2h away and the Connemara national park and beatiful beaches along the splendit coastline are also within reach.
Kate and John were the most helpful and nice hosts! Thanks for everything! We will definitely come again

Kate was wonderful, she was very welcoming. The cottage was just as described in the posting, absolutely perfect. It was located on a private farm so it was a very quite area, we only saw cars pass by 2 or 3 times, perfect area to hike as well. The town of Oughterard was a 5 minute drive and had everything we needed; a grocer, butcher, and about 4 pubs/restaurants to choose from.
