Description

The Space

About the apartment...
This sunny, cute and cozy one bedroom features rooftop views and garden exposure. Lovely hardwood floors, newly renovated kitchen and bath. Stylishly designed, modern and crisp, very clean and tidy. It's ideal for a couple or individual, as the Queen size bed sleeps two. The bed is a brand new Tuft& Needle mattress, and it is beyond comfortable. Clean sheets and luxury bath towels are provided. There's also shampoo, conditioner, soaps, and a blow dryer for your use. Wireless internet included. No gas cooking please, but there is a microwave, toaster, blender and hot water boiler for your use.

About the building...
Pre-War Townhouse-style walk-up building. The apartment is on the top floor but there are only 3 flights of carpeted stairs, and it's a very easy walk-up. You may not want to pack a giant piece of luggage unless you have a friend helping you. I myself have carried a 50-lb. bag down the stairs, but have help getting it back up after trips. There are only 7 neighbors, so the building is very quiet. There are two front doors to the building with a buzzer for entry. Although there is no doorman, it is very secure and safe.

About your host...
I am very hospitable and want to make sure you enjoy your stay. I am easily accessible even if I am away, so no worries about having questions for me. I am very responsive. The most important thing for me is to make sure you are comfortable!

Guest Access

Guests will have the full apartment to themselves.

Interaction with Guests

Key pickup: I can arrange with you if I am not in town or have other obligations where I won't be able to meet you to let you in. We can arrange prior to your arrival.
I like to make sure guests are comfortable, so plan to hear from me upon check-in and text or email during your stay. I am accessible, so I would rather have a guest tell me they need something during their stay than say they didn't have it after they leave!

The Neighborhood

About the neighborhood...
Horatio Street is one of the most picturesque blocks in the West Village, steps from the best restaurants, the Meatpacking District, SoHo, TriBeCa and easily accessible (3 blocks walk) to 14th St Subway station (A,C,E,L) and 14th St. Subway Station (1, 2, 3). There is usually plenty of street parking in the neighborhood and there are also many parking garages available nearby.
Nearby restaurants: One block from Pastis, MPD, STK, Bagatelle, Standard Grill, Abe & Arthur's, Dos Caminos, Villa Pacri, Buddha Bar, Corsino, Soho House and more!
Fabulous shopping: Jeffrey, Park & Bond by Gilt, Apple Store, Sephora, Ports 1961, Theory, DVF, Scoop, Paige Denim, Earnest Sewn, Intermix, Tory Burch, Yigal Azrouel and more!
One block from Gansevoort Street entrance to the High Line!
Overall, a very safe and clean neighborhood that has everything to offer. Daytime strolls and shopping, and great nightlife.

The easiest way to get to my apartment from the airport (Newark, JFK or LGA) is to take a cab. From Newark, expect to pay $75, JFK $52, LGA $35 (excludes tip). I can provide directions vis Subway or cab when working out arrival details, just ask me!
