Newly renovated and cozy 750 sq ft cottage nestled in a quiet, treed setting. Centrally located on the Bruce Peninsula, between Colpoys Bay and the cliffs of the Escarpment. Perfect for relaxing or enjoying the outdoors. Two Bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and ceiling fans. Open concept Living room and Kitchen with Fridge and Stove. Door from kitchen out to deck. Bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet. I know some of the furniture needs to be updated (my wife reminds me of that often) so we are trying to do that from time to time. Also, it is important to note that this is a cottage and it has a composting toilet. It is located in the bathroom. It Flushes but it is just a little different to use than your normal toilet. We are trying to provide an environmentally friendly place to stay. The cottage is very comfortable and in a nice quiet area. You will need to bring queen size sheets for the beds and pillow cases. There are blankets and pillows there for the two queen size beds. Our water is run through a UV light, however we do not recommend using is for drinking so we provide jugs of water for drinking. The tap water is fine for washing, etc. We don't mind pets staying at our cottage, however we ask that you don't allow them on the furniture. Also, if you allow them on the bed than please bring your own blankets. Also, they must be leashed and cleaned up after when outside so they don't leave gifts for the neighbors.
1 km from access point to the Bruce Trail, 5 km of winding, scenic road to public dock for canoe/kayak/beach. Short 9 km drive to Wiarton for all of your supplies. Approx 30 km to Sauble beach (20 min drive ) Centrally located on the Bruce Penninsula to enjoy all the attractions it has to offer. Excellent for hikers, bikers, kayak or nature lovers.
Interaction with Guests
Upon Booking. We are available to guests for questions but rarely, if ever, contact the guest during their stay.

There is no public transit.
Other Things to Note
There are two neighbours that are relatively close. Both are cottagers that are very quiet and family oriented.
No smoking inside the cottage
Pets must be on a leash and please pick up after your pet.
Wonderful stay at Cabin Eh! Sauvignon. Great area and cozy cottage! Scott was extremely accomodating. We had a fantastic weekend!
Scott was very friendly and approachable. He made sure to check in with us and that everything was ok. The cabin had everything we needed, the kitchen was fully equipped and it was clean with a lovely green view around. It was quiet and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. We won't hesitate to come back! :)
Scott is a very nice guy. Me and my family spend 3 days in his cabin. The cabin is a little bit old and very hard to find without a GPS. Cabin is not a house, so don't expect too much of it and you will get satisfied.
Scott is very friendly and told us everything that we needed to know. His cottage is very cute and beautiful. Near the water that has a stunning view. My friends and I enjoyed our stay there..
Scott's a charming man. He was a friendly sight after driving up to Bruce Peninsula and was good throughout our stay. The Cabin is in beautiful countryside: coming down County Road 9 as you exit Wiarton makes you realise how tremendous the lake is.
The Cabin is not on the lake: you have to walk a decent bit to get to the lake and heading west a lot of the lakefront is part of other people's land (or at least it seems that way), but I still found this a great base for exploring the Bruce Peninsula. You can get anywhere within an hour - Tobermory is no problem at all (we did it twice in fact) and we also went to Sauble Beach, Lion's Head, Owen Sound and more.
Outside the cabin you have a nice deck and a propane grill. Beware the bugs - this isn't about Scott's cabin, it's true of all of the Peninsula. Inside the living room is huge and had plenty of space for our young daughter to play. The bathroom is new and nice with a good shower, the kitchen is fine and the bedrooms both decent sized. It can be a little cool at night (I'm used to living in a city) but there are heaters in every room that work quickly.
Once again, Scott is great, and even offered us a recommendation on the fly for where to eat in Wiarton - a good recommendation at that. This place comes recommended as a great base to get out and see the wonderful local area.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this affordable, comfortable clean cabin. The location provided quick access to the Bruce Trail, neighbourhood bakeries, Howells's fresh fish shop and local artisians. Our host was welcoming and attentive. There was a minor problem with the water but Scott responded immediately, offering to drive to the cabin to address the issue. As it turned out, onsite bottled water served as a good alternative. We'd stay again! Thank you for sharing your cottage with us. It was very relaxing.
About the Host, Scott
Getting to know people from around the world is one of my favorite past times. My whole family loves to work out/exercise. We have competed in many Triathlons. When I travel I like to go for a run through the local area and try to find a gym. We love food. Good food is high on our list.
