Welcome to JAX, the largest city (by land area) in the US. Location is everything in our sprawling metropolis! The Hilltop Cottage is conveniently situated in the heart of it all. We are 10-20 minutes from nearly every major attraction, university, beaches and hospitals like Mayo, Baptist, etc.

Whatever brings you to town, you won't be far from it at our cheerful home.

We travel a lot, so we designed Hilltop Cottage with travelers' comfort in mind. We know you’re going to LOVE IT!

The space
The Hilltop Cottage is all about the Sunshine State! There's a fun flamingo bedroom, a peaceful beachy bedroom, a newly renovated tropical bathroom with a nod to the home team, and a bright and sunny Florida room which doubles as a bonus room / play room or 3rd bedroom. Original hardwood floors and natural light abound.

We are world travelers who spend many nights on the road, so we made it a point to create the most comfortable space with all the amenities you need to feel at home.

We host many folks visiting Jacksonville for the Mayo Clinic and our other top ranked hospitals. If you're coming to JAX for treatment, rest assured we'll make your stay extra comfy.

Hilltop Cottage is stocked with new, high quality towels and linens. We also provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash, a washer/dryer and full kitchen with coffee maker, pots and pans, plates, bowls, utensils, an assortment of drinkware, blender, toaster and a microwave. If you need anything specific, like a crock pot or food processor, drop us a note and if we have it, we'll make sure to leave it in the house.

You're welcome to bring up to two pups under 25 lbs. for a fee. Anything outside those parameters, please ask before booking to see if we can accommodate. We may be able to make an exception, but a higher pet rate may apply.

Guest access
The house sits at the corner of a cul-de-sac and a quiet street. There's a big fenced backyard great for kids and pups to play safely, and an enormous front yard with room to roam. Our screened porch is a quiet spot to catch a breeze on a warm night and there’s patio furniture set for picnics (and smoke breaks if need be!). The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to whip up meals and there's a washer and dryer so you can keep up with laundry.

You'll have the entire house, screened lanai, patio, fenced backyard and sprawling corner front yard all to yourself.

Nightly price is for 3 guests; any additional will incur a small charge. Airbnb adds it automatically for your convenience.

Neighborhood highlights

Southside Estates is one of Jacksonville's oldest and most established neighborhoods. It's filled with small bungalows and cottages, quiet streets and friendly neighbors. I grew up in the Southside Estates neighborhood - just a few houses from Hilltop Cottage, actually - and after many years traveling the world, I’m happy to finally be back home. My husband and I work full time and adore this area.
