Beautifully Renovated Plateau Flat

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Avenue Coloniale, Montreal, QC H2X 1B5, Canada

This gorgeous apartment was recently renovated with considerable thought payed to details. Lots of natural light at all times of the day. High ceilings. Open space concept living room, dining room and kitchen. You will feel at home in no time at all.

The Space

This is a gorgeous, centrally located newly renovated apartment in Montreal's most lively neighbourhood. Enjoy a full 1,000 square foot apartment with big kitchen all to yourself. Lots of natural light and near all the essential Montreal spots. Two block from 'The Main', four blocks from two metro stations and two blocks from a grocery store. Lots of beautiful shops and restaurant all within walking distance. A truly unique spot.

Guest Access

As guest you have access to:
- The unlimited WiFi through out the apartment.
- Fresh sheets and towels upon check-in
- Access to the Nespresso machine with a number of tablets for your stay
- Most importantly; Montreal's best sites are on your doorstep

Interaction with Guests

Depending on your arrival and departure times, I try and make an effort to meet and chat with all my guests.

The Neighborhood

Much like SoHo in New York and Le Marais in Paris, the Plateau has international renown as the neighbourhood with the most caché. Furthermore located in the southern end of the neighbourhood, you can easily get to Old Montreal, Downtown and the Mile End, three of the most interesting parts of the city to explore. Close to the action, all the while being in a quiet residential area. Truly the best of both worlds.

Getting around

Getting around from my flat is incredibly easy. There are two metro stations located within a 5 minute walk, both of which are on two of the major lines. There are also two major bus axis within a two minute walk from the apartment. And lastly you have easy access to Montreal's communal bike service, Bixi, which allows you to borrow and return bikes all over the city.

If you are arriving with a car there is free street parking on the street in front of the apartment. Most guests who arrive by car park it upon their arrival and do not move it again until it is time to leave. This truly is a great location to explore the city.

Lastly, arriving from the airport is a breeze. You can use the '747' bus which brings you to the central bus station, a ten minute walk away. Or you can catch a cab with fixed downtown rates of $40 CDN.

Other Things to Note

A lot of love and energy went into creating this space. I had my future guests in mind when designing everything and hope that they appreciate the work that has gone in. The goal has been for people to come from all over the world and feel at home (and maybe even return).

  • I stayed a full week at Chris place and truly enjoyed it. The place was as advertised, spacious, clean, very well situated and with a great and comfortable bed in the master bedroom. The bathroom is also modern, with a fantastic shower. Chris showed up to introduced himself and wish us a nice stay. I wouldn't hesitate and stay there again should I need a two bedroom place in Montreal in the future.

  • Fantastic flat, comfortable, functional, beautifully designed and very clean. Perfectly located in the Plateau area, with many places in walking distance. Christopher was very helpful. - Thank you.

  • Christopher's flat was fantastic. Extremely well fitted and beautifully designed. All aspects of the flat were comfortable and functional. The flat was a real haven, particularly given the cold weather in Montreal.

Christopher was able to provide information prior to us travelling which was prompt and useful aiding our stay. The flat was perfect for our requirements and has obviously been designed and managed with great thought from the host. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils and great appliances and was part of a wonderful open plan dining/seating/cooking area. The bathroom and bedroom felt very luxurious and the windowed corridor is beautiful. I think it is easier to say that the whole flat went beyond expectations.

A note to mention that it is also in a great part of town, we easily found great places to eat and drink and did not struggle to reach other parts of Montreal given the close transport links. We arrived from Montreal airport and the flat was easily accessible from the central bus station which is the last stop of the airport bus.
    A thank you to Christopher.

  • We didn't meet Chris at all, although we were regularly in touch prior to our arrival, but we really enjoyed the flat - good location for us, beautifully appointed with its wood floors, spacious bathroom, lots of windows. Beds were comfortable, living area more than adequate.

  • Christopher was a great host. His apartment is beautiful and very well located - we had a great time despite not being accustomed to -20 degree temperatures! We loved the kitchen and the bathroom and the heated floors, and it was great that Christopher was so responsive in dealing with our little issues. We had a little visitor in the way of a mouse (which I've since learned is normal in an older building in such a cold part of the world!) but when we messaged him, Chris had his brother and dad bring over traps early the next morning and we got the little guy in no time - it was really not an issue at all. They also brought salt and a shovel for dealing with the very icy walkways - all in all very responsive and accommodating. We absolutely recommend this apartment. Thanks, Chris!

  • Amazing place, much better than a hotel, very convenient location!

  • We traveled to Montreal for a wonderful winter adventure. We had heard Montreal was amazing during the Holidays and coming from Chicago didn't think twice about the cold. It turned out to be the coldest weekend of the year, with 10+ inches of snow! But we still had a blast and even caught some fireworks in below 10 degree weather. The four of us (2 couples) stayed in Christopher's beautiful flat. The flat was perfectly clean and warm. Christopher has great taste and we loved absolutely every about the place.

  • This is a truly great place. Big, fantastically decorated, and a location steps away from St. Laurent and all it has to offer. Chris was a great host and I would definitely rent from him again in the future.

  • We're from the US, and our youngest daughter is going to university at McGill. Since American Thanksgiving is a big deal to her and to us and since she didn't have any time off school, we booked Chris' flat for an American Thanksgiving in Montreal.

It was a really wonderful few days. The apartment is clean, modern, conveniently located, and very comfortable. For those of you who cook, the kitchen is remarkably well-equipped--a complete Thanksgiving dinner was easily accomplished.

Chris is an excellent host and we're looking forward to booking the same week next year.

  • Chris is a wonderful host and his apartment is absolutely stunning and in a great location. My friend and I brought our daughters to Montreal to check out McGill and Concordia. We were within walking distance of both schools and all the great shops, cafes, and restaurants on St. Denis and St. Laurent and the surrounding area. It was fun to be able to explore the neighbourhood and then to come back to such a lovely place. There was plenty of room in the apartment for all of us; two big very comfortable beds, a gorgeous, spotless, large bathroom, and a beautiful open kitchen. Lots of wood and brick and industrial accents: great design. Coming from Toronto, the parking situation was a pleasant surprise. We parked immediately in front of the building and left the car there for 2.5 days with no problems! This does not happen at home. Finally, WiFi was included.
We were sad to have to leave. Thank you, Chris!
