  • This is a wonderful apartment, everything was just perfect. It is very spacious, and clean, and has a great kitchen which we used, Daniela and Ugo had provided coffee and olive oil, salt etc, everything we needed for cooking, as well as a bottle of wine when we arrived. The location is fantastic in the middle of the old town. The huge fig tree outside the kitchen window just adds to the atmosphere.
Ugo went out of his way to help us when we arrived, we had a problem with our rental car and he drove with us to a service station to get it sorted, thanks Ugo! I would recommend this apartment to anyone. Alghero is a beautiful town and we had an amazing stay there.

  • A fantastic apartment in a perfect location. Ugo met us at the bus terminal and took us directly to the apartment. He explained everything we needed to know, from how to turn on the air con to where the best beaches where. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

  • This was a perfect place to stay in Alghero. Very central, very comfortable.

Ugo was a huge help to us when we arrived as there happened to be a festival in Alghero the evening we arrived and parking was at a minimum. He met us near the house, found us parking and helped us unload our gear. Above and beyond what we expected. I would highly recommend "A window on the old town".

  • We spent 11 great days in this cute apartment with the most perfect location in beautiful Alghero. The apartment was greatly situated right in the center of the old town, with very many good restaurants just meters away. With an equipped kitchen we also went grocery shopping in the markethalls around the corner and made delicious dishes at home as well. Daniela and Ugo were so warm and welcoming and we felt like we really couldn't had it any better. I am very certain that we will revisit this beautiful sardinian city - and now we also know the perfect spot to stay.

  • Absolutely loved this apartment! It's right in the heart of the old town, the location is fantastic. There are restaurants, bakeries, markets all within walking distance yet the apartment is lovely and peaceful.

It is up about 30 steps which might be a problem for people with mobility issues but was no trouble for us.

Our hosts were so lovely, spoke great english and when they had to come back one day to give some extra bed linen Daniela brought us traditional biscuits from a bakery which were so tasty and such a lovely touch.

The apartment has a lovely home away from home feel to it with all mod cons and is spotlessly clean.

We are already trying to go back!

  • Daniela and Ugo have a terrific apartment in the center of old town Alghero. Looks just as good as the pictures. The windows from a quiet street overlook a very old and large fig tree and small plaza area. A skylight in the loft provides additional light and ventilation and we never had a problem with temperature. Just around the corner are some great restaurants (Botteghina and Hosteria Pepi Gall come to mind), the city walls, main churches and gathering places in the city. The thoughtful hosts were happy to arrange a convenient meet-up and left some maps and supplies for washing dishes and other useful tools. We would recommend this apartment and stay there again.

About
With my husband Ugo who is a retired computer engineer, we moved from Milan to Alghero in 2008. Since then we have been taking care of our olive grove and the production of our own extra virgin olive oil. I like arts and philosophy and we both practice Sahaja Yoga.
