This was our third time staying at Ken's and our first in this apartment. It was amazing and HUGE, as in over 2000 sq/ft huge. It has a great industrial loft feel and the decor is Bohemian flea market eclectic with a mix of vintage - mostly 70's French style reproductions with some earlier vintage, a little glam and rounded out with new Ikea pieces. It's cool. As we expected the beds were comfy, the sheets were good - everything was in perfect order. These folks know what they are doing. It is as complete as most homes. The kitchen is fantastic. Ken was very accommodating with our late checkout and again allowed us to bring our dog. I highly recommend the Jewelry Designer Loft.
Every amenity, as promised. Great aesthetic; host's taste is evident in the thoughtful furnishings. Pleased to find more options in 'industrial' neighborhood than anticipated, including for food, but kitchen is very well appointed--there was even a paella pan!
The pictures really make the space look more lovely than it is in actuality.
While it's large with 2 t.v.s and a fireplace, we couldn't use the fireplace - the remote control eluded the abilities of 1 Apple employee and another techie
The kitchen is large and open but all the pots, pans, utensils were dirty and had to be washed to use.
The bathroom rug needed a washing. There were plenty of towels which was a plus.
The area around the loft is relatively abandoned except for parking garages and new building sites. There are 2 coffee places to walk to and not much else.
On our next trip I would choose a more centralized location. To see Providence a ride up and down the hills was called for.
The property is near the financial district which has an event space and hotels.
Coming from a signle family home, we had a difficult time coping with the family who rented the upstairs space.
The children's screaming, running and slamming things got to be a bit much to handle.
In town to a attend a wedding with a close group of friends, and this was the perfect place! We were able to share cars and have plenty of space to spread out and chill and the sleeping quarters were super gorgeous and comfy. Kathy and Ken were very easy to communicate. Convenient to downtown nightlife and great breakfast options within blocks, also a short jog to the water and the awesome trail that runs along. Highly recommend, we'll definitely go back!
Fantastic apt and a great host.
Perfect. Just as promised and shown on the photos. Clean, everything was ready for our arrival. Excellent big sized beds, extra-comfortable, and good cooking capabilities.
Awesome flat! Great location! Amazing kitchen! Great times had by all!
My friends and I had a fantastic stay at Kens Loft. It was so comfortable and very convenient. We were traveling from Providence to Rhode Island daily for a conference and it was so nice to return here each evening. The loft itself is a work of art. The feeling of space made our trip that much more enjoyable. The kitchen was wonderful. Everything was laid out perfectly! I would LOVE to come back!
This loft is truly amazing! I live and work in Providence and had no idea this loft existed! It really is a hidden GEM! I needed a large area for my bridal party to get ready and this more than did the trick. We stayed the night before my wedding and had so much fun! There was so much room to spread out and plenty of sleeping quarters. It's just a 10 minute walk away from some great restaurants downtown, Providence Performing Arts Center, etc. My friends and I were saying that we are going to have to find another excuse to rent out the loft because it was that cool!
