Located in Salvador's lively, "popular" and busy Largo Dois de Julho neighborhood, this cool and cozy room includes a double bed, a private bathroom, ceiling fan, wireless network, cable TV in the living room, access to mini refrigerator and laundry facilities.
The living room opens up onto a charming veranda with romantic sunset and spectacular views of the All Saint's Bay. Need to relax? The veranda, full of plants, has a cozy hammock for lounging and gazing at the sea.
Being downtown- Centro, it is easy access to most tourist destinations. It is walking distance to historical Pelourinho, Mercado Modelo, the Bahia Marina and Solar de Unhão. Access to major bus routes, upper and lower city destinations, buses to the beach up the coast and other important tourist attractions are easy. There are also many good bars, markets, fruit sellers and restaurants in the Largo. Getting around on foot and taking a bus is not a problem, but take a taxi home at night for extra safety.
I am a history and English teacher from the US and have lived in Brazil for many years. I love the beach, going for walks, reading, listening to music, cooking, traveling and hanging out with friends.

You can walk to shops and malls. Many convenient bus routes nearby.

Solar de União and Pelourinho are walking distance. As a tourist, you must be extra careful. After dark, take a taxi home!!!
Dois de Julho is a downtown walking neighborhood. I love living here because I can do most of my errands in the general area on foot. The neighborhood has a lot of local character.. You can walk to shops and malls. There are many convenient bus routes nearby. Be careful coming home late at night, and stay on busy streets.
Other Things to Note
Do not walk home from Pelourinho at night.
No unregistered/ unauthorized guests allowed inside apartment.
Please turn off all lights and fans when you leave.
Be conscientious of neighborhoods. No loud music or parties I have dogs, but we are usually at another residence.

I am from the US but have lived in Brazil for some 20 years. I am a history and English teacher.
