  • We had a VERY lovely time at Anu´s Villa! My kid really enjoyed the cats and the pool. Her place was the perfect base and sharing wine with her and her son after dinner, talking about pretty much everything was just amazing! She was so nice to give advices where to eat and where to go! This is how we decided the village of Eze which was pretty amazing! I will definitely come back again since three days were not enough and no doubt, i will definitely stay with Anu again!

  • My girlfriend and me stayed at Anu's place for a short birthday vacation of a couple of days. I can highly recommend the stay to anyone searching for a cozy, more calm and nature loving experience, slightly off the noise from the big streets/cities but still only a stone's throw away for nice trips to Nice, Antibes, Monaco, Eze etc. We rented a car to make best use of our short period, however, it was also well connected by train. A highlight is definitely the amazing poolside and for all sports lovers a nice Tennis court.
    Enjoy your trip!

  • We spend three nights with Anu, and had a good time during our stay, she is very kind, gives you a warm welcome, speaks very good english and she has à lot of information about the villages and the area, the only thing we missed is al little lamp for reading at the bed, the swimmingpool is also really nice!

  • I am sorry to say I did not enjoy my stay here. I do not think the room we were in should be rented out for B&B at all. We were in a small double room off the living room area and felt we had very little privacy. (The bedroom upstairs were more private and had a veranda area by the looks of them). Our room was uncomfortably hot and with no aircon we had one small fan but it wasn't enough and I didn't get much sleep at all. We couldnt even leave our door open during the day as Anu's cats would have gone on our bed - eugh! In the 8 nights we stayed we didn't get clean sheets or towels once which in the heat wasn't nice! We didn't have a key to the house and we were coming back early but if we hadn't been they locked up about midnight. On the positive the breakfasts were lovely and Anu was helpful when you asked - but I found even without asking her she wanted to know everything , where we were going & what we were doing every day - I found it very annoying!! I felt very uncomfortable at not having our own ensuite toilet too - we perhaps misunderstood the description but all we had was a shower, not an ensuite toilet. I also felt very uncomfortable at all the personal belongings in our room - clothes, handbags, perfume, toiletries etc - filled most of the wardrobe and the bathrooms shelves. It is not what you expect from a professional B&B, we basically felt like unwelcome guests. Overall I would definitely not go back or recommend it I'm afraid. It was a mistake going to Biot too (if you don't have a car, as we didn't) - there is very little there, you feel very remote and the buses stop at 8.20pm.

    Response from Anu:

I'm sorry to note that Séjour in Villa , was such an ordeal . Let me point out a few facts , that other guests need to know. Ist of all, Provençal houses do not have ensuite bath and toilets. However the room , on the ground floor has it's own ensuite bathroom and a private patoi. This is a plus point that many of my guests have appreciated. Although it is a smaller room, being on the ground floor, it's a great deal cooler than the other one rented out on the 1st floor. However, when guests , close the shutter and the french window, one can't expect the room to be cool. Agged to this , to create extra moisture, is when you washed your linen and hung it to dry , in the room. You should have known that , I do not allow this!. Had you had time to find out, you would have known I offer laundry at a small pice, which is washed, dried folded and handed back!
I did offer to clean bed and bathroom & I was grumpily desisted. However, concerned for my property , I found a soaking wet bath mat, dripping all over with water. Had I not found it, the bathroom floor would have been soaked, adding to the moisture of washed clothes, hung all over. The patio is also present to hang out wet towels etc. Colin, your wife being well into her pregnancy, you should have thought fit to rent a car, to be able to move around more comfortably. You did not inform me about this, at the time of reservation therefore, I could not suggest , something proper!. Let me point out, that a rental car , would have been advisable,, also in your case had you stayed n the centre of Cannes, Nice, Antibes, Grasse etc, Also in all these cities mentioned above, buses stop by 8pm! Trains are the only other means ,I was willing to pick you folks up , but you didn't care to mention that in your review. Neither did you mention that I picked you up at the Biot train station and also dropped you off on the day of your departure, free of charge!. You were in no way made to feel unwelcome. It was just , that you did not choose to integrate. Remarks from the guests who were simultaneously staying at my place, from Airbnb, also thought so. Doors at my place were only shut at 2am!, and not not before that & only making sure that all were inside!
I , with my other guests, from Airbnb, were always outsidelon the garden terrace till late,....way past midnight.
Colin and Abbie, get yourself , a villa all to yourself , in the Provence Côte d'Azur, it won't certainly be advertised at 65/night/couple, with breakfast include,, tennis court and swimming pool!. & don't ask me ridiculous questions , whether there are lounge chairs by the poolside or private toilets!!!! Get a grip on yourselves. I appreciate suggestions , but where you are concerned get yourselves a room Negresco with a chauffeur driven car in Nice!
One last question to these guests. How would you know what "upstairs" is like ? They were the very people who were shocked by your grumpy attitude!.
Good luck to you folks. It takes all sorts to make the world & how !!!!! .... I'm learning

Thank you Anu for all you did for me during my first stay... I'll be back soon... & I will never hesitated to talk about you & your place... Veloma. Chris.

  • Cooked breakfast in a lovely garden - with to-die-for fresh croissants! What could be better? Anu is an attentive, friendly, and helpful host, happy to share and help. Our cozy ground-floor (= cooler) room had a private patio as well as the en suite bathroom. The separate toilet was a minor inconvenience. The accommodation is in a gated community with an attractive pool - that we never found time to use. Biot is a good location, close to Nice, Vence, Antibes ... with a pretty hilltop village, Leger Museum, and glass industry, but not a major tourist destination.
A good choice for this crowded area.

  • Anu was a fantastic host, we had a great time at her place, chatting over breakfast and after hours. She cooked us breakfast, gave us a lift to the train station on our last day and really made sure we felt at home in her lovely abode. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and more than we can ask for. For that, we definitely wished we had more days in Biot.

  • Amazing Host & Great Rooms!!!!

    Nizza in 20 Min
    Monte Carlo in 30 Min
    Anibes 3 Min
    Cannes 15 Min
