Great location...we are 1 mile from both Johnsons Beach and Sunset Beach on the Russian River and near Armstrong Woods Redwood Preserve, Russian River wineries. Our studios are only 20 minutes from the coast to the west and Santa Rosa to the east.
We are close to restaurants, galleries and shopping in Guerneville and just a short drive to neighboring communities of Healdsburg, Sebastopol and Occidental/Freestone.
Up to seven studios are available..Come with friends!
Sorry-no smoking and no pets.
April through October guests can access the pool and garden. The studios are located above Carport Art Gallery.
Interaction with Guests
The studios are private, however we are happy to provide recommendations and directions for things to do, wine tasting, restaurants, and activities.
Right across the street from Stumptown Brewery...fun bar with patio and weekend music. About a one mile walk to downtown.
A car is generally desired. There is a bus stop near the studios that goes to downtown Santa Rosa.

Marz was quite friendly and I had no logistical problems with the room. However, I ended up leaving after one night and finding a different place to stay because I did not find the room to be particularly comfortable or charming.
In retrospect I feel misled by the other reviews here - so I would advise setting your expectations appropriately. These rooms are in a block of studio apartments next to a busy road. Overall the quality more like a Motel 6 or a Super 8 - clean but utilitarian and a bit worn down. The room was cold, the blankets were thin, and the small heater unit on the wall was noisy. Decor consisted of Van Gogh wall posters and Ikea furniture, with a popcorn ceiling.
What a cute little get away! My boyfriend and I wanted a cozy place to stay on the way up to Gualala for his birthday. It was a perfect little spot with a fun brewery across the street. Loved his little pup Bruno too! I would definitely stay her again, I'm sure it's absolutely perfect for summer visits.
Mu daughter and I stayed one night in the studio apartment. The apartment was very clean and welcoming. Marz was helpful with providing information regarding local restaurants and directions to the Armstrong park (wich was amazing). We would definitely stay there again.
Marz was a wonderful host, very friendly and accommodating. The studio unit was comfortable and very clean. We appreciated the kitchen with everything needed to prepare your meals, etc. I would definitely stay here again and recommend these Russian River apartments.
I had a great stay as always. The room was neat and clean. I finally got to meet Marz. He's really nice
He is an amazing host. Amazing lacation. The suits have been decorated so creative and cozy that you would love it. Its super clean and the price is very (website hidden) cleaning fee.
Nima and Sara are one of most wonderful couple I met in being more than 14 years in hospitality business , friendly, happy , intelligent to talk to and super kind and neat , they spend time to carefully clean the place before leave, I want them to come back and strongly recommend them to other hosts .
I would highly recommend staying with Marz at Studio Apartments at Russian River!
I was in the area for a friends' birthday and only decided to secure a local AirB&B home at the last minute; the roads were too icy to make my way home late at night. Marz was very helpful in coordinating with me to get a key to the apartment- I was unable to pick up the key at check in. Marz was helpful, appropriately concerned & helpful and more than sweet.
I recommend this cute little spot as it is close enough to town but farther out enough that it provides a quiet retreat. The overall ambience is lovely...it feels like a east coast beach town retreat: cool colors; light blue wood floors; complete kitchen w/full-sized refrigerator; actual wash towel and oven mitt; small but cute little kitchen; firm bed and warm water in the shower.
We ventured into town and tried out Coffee Bazar on the recommendation of Marz- highly co-sign this recommendation! Yum! Also stop into the adjoining book store- Twice Told Books. Super cute.
I am a journalist, artist and designer living in the beautiful Russian River area. It's been a lot of fun to remodel all the studios each in an individual way.
We also have a gallery on the property with my work in glass mosaic, as well as the work of other area artists.
It's been great to meet people from all over the world as guests and share recommendations about our beautiful part of the world.
