Norm happened to be at address when we hit town, had a nice chat with him before settling in. As described, it is economy with a view. Is an older place Norm is working on upgrading, pretty basic, but it is a great location for what we were doing and has a great view of Tucson. Saguaro National Park is 15 minutes west, a park and ride for the west end of the Tucson street car is less than five minutes east. We had coffee on the terrace each morning as the sun rose over the mountains, and sat a view minutes each night and looked at the city lights. Nice location and a good value
The location and size was perfect for our group of 4. Sure it was a bit tight but definitely worth it for us for the price. Although we never met, Norm was very helpful and accommodating.
Our only complaint is that the bedding was not very clean. It seemed as though the sheets had been washed, but both beds were covered in hair. Perhaps a dog from the last guests or their washer doesn't work very well.
Would stay here again, but will bring own sheets.
This was a great deal on a very comfortable place with fabulous views. For two people it was very roomy. Norm was very accommodating and always pleasant to interact with. All the neighbors I passed when walking my dog were very friendly. We stayed a week and only had one hot day in the low 90's when we needed the fan--which worked so effectively I plan to buy one like it for my home. There's a Gila Woodpecker living in the saguaro cactus on the patio and you can watch it from the kitchen window. I will miss the woodpecker and the charm of sitting on the patio in the evenings. I hope to stay here again the next time I'm in Tucson.
Norm's place does the trick if you're looking for an affordable, basic place to stay in Tucson. He is available by cell if you need anything and is responsive to our requests. There is a Murphy Bed in the dining room which is comfortable, making the place livable for 2 guests that don't want to sleep in the same bed. Thank you Norm for opening your place for us to stay.
Stayed at Norm's again and had a great time. Great views, ideal location close to downtown and a very fair price for what you get. Hope to stay here again.
