About this listing
Panorama is a beautiful studio-apartment in Positano, with a terrace for sunbathing overlooking the sea, from where you can admire a spectacular 180° view of the whole Gulf and coastline, the islands of Li Galli, Capri and the most attractive part of Positano, the Pearl of the Amalfi Coast!
Panorama is a very charming place to spend a comfortable and tranquil vacation. It consists of one big (40 sqm) nicely furnished bedroom which sleeps 2+1, with one double bed and one single bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower. It has cooking facilities and a nice dining table, plus TV with satellite, DVD+CD players, free WIFI, A/C, central heating.
The breath-taking private terrace is very tastefully furnished with locally made ceramic tables and vases, and a Weber barbeque.
There is also a private path to the sea front, and a private parking, very rare in Positano!
Panorama is perfectly located off the coastal road that links Positano with the rest of the Amalfi Coast (only 35 steps down from the road, so it is very peaceful and quiet!). It is about 3 km. from the center of Positano and is very well connected with bus services. The bus stop is just outside the gate: 5 minutes to reach the center of Positano, with all its shops and great restaurants. Positano is also called CITTA' ROMANTICA (Romantic Town) and is known for its special atmosphere and the charm of its inhabitants.

Our host, Rosa, felt like an extension of family. She is incredibly caring and loving; she was the best part of our amalfi coast experience. From the initial booking of our reservation, Rosa remained very attentive to our questions, and she even helped us with a ton of our travel logistics – she went above and beyond. She helped us with car reservations, she got us in touch with a boating excursion company (fantastic company, we had a spectacular experience), she made dinner reservations for us and even helped us get food delivered to the apartment on several occasions.
The apartment itself has a breathtaking view of the coast, and the most picturesque view of Positano. Inside the apartment, Rosa left us with a few grocery essentials (so kind of her!), plenty of towels, and a special birthday treat for me :) There is a fully equipped kitchenette in the apartment, and the bathroom is super large with the hottest showers ever.
The apartment is a 20-30 minute walk from Positano center, and a quick 10 minute walk to a fantastic restaurant (which we frequented) called La Taverna. Rosa recommended this restaurant to us. If you require groceries, there is a grocery delivery service that comes right to your door…how awesome is that?!
The bed is comfy, and the A/C unit works quickly and keeps the apartment very cool.
Be prepared to walk a ton while on the amalfi coast…there are steps everywhere. A great workout for sure. Luckily, the apartment doesn’t take too much effort to get to, but the beaches do a little :) There is a private little “beach” about 550 steps (via stairs) from the apartment. You have a private cove to swim in, and there’s an umbrella there too if you need some relief from the sun. The walk down was pretty easy; the walk up took some effort! There is also a beach called Laurito Beach near the apartment (again, about 500+ steps to get down). The amazing views made all the extra steps worth it. Truly spectacular. Rosa’s apartment has a million dollar view…we can’t wait to go back!
The location, while just outside of town, is idyllic. It is simply gorgeous and you can rest on the wonderful deck just looking at town and the boats all day.
Rosa and her daughter were great hosts. They arranged meals and a taxi for us. It is a wonderful place and we would live to return!
We had a wonderful time in Positano. Rosa's studio is situated on a calm place outside the center, has a big terrace with a really unique view on Positano, the Amalfi/Sorrento Peninsula up to Capri! with sunset! Close access to the 'stairs' to the cosy beach of Laurito, with two nice restaurants and boat service to the city. Nearby Praiano and Taverna del Leone are 'sympathique' outings. Rosa is a nice host, flexible and helpful. The AC was very convenient for a good nights rest during Italy's hottest summer in 136 years!
How to describe Rosa....beautiful, hospitable, knowledgeable, accommodating. From the onset of communicating with Rosa about her apartment in beautiful Positano, she was always prompt and courteous with her responses. Because we were on a 3 week vacation with only carry on luggage, we wanted to make sure doing laundry was an option. Although Rosas apartment does not have a washer, she told me from the beginning not to worry, she would take care of it for us. And she did. She recommended restaurants which were all delicious, and places to see and how to get there, and even let us print train tickets from her computer.
She sent her wonderful driver Rosario to pick us up in Naples...he was a riot...great sense of humor with lots of information to share on the long drive thru those mountainous curvy roads.
Now to the apartment. The view is spectacular, the apartment had everything we needed, including a bottle of champagne to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Thank you Rosa. The bed was comfy, the fridge adequate for our munchies and Rosa even placed a food order for us from the local grocer which was delivered before our arrival. Perfecto. Bathroom was a good size and hot water within a couple of minutes.
As it is throughout Positano, there are steps to everywhere, so if you are not opposed to walking a bit to get to her apartment this is the place to hang out. Although most of the walk is on driveway areas, there are a few deep steps to take down to the apartment, but it sure is great after eating the delicious food throughout this area.
The bus stop for both the local city bus and the SITA which takes you to Sorrento are just a few steps outside her gate. So very convenient so as not to rent a car. But if you must, she does have parking on the property.
Driving the winding mountainous roads was not something we chose to do so the buses were perfect. The balcony, really a patio, is a wonderful place to sit and rest, have a glass of wine, eat a meal, or just sit and read or watch the up yachts pull into the bay. We just completed our stay, and the only issue in the area are mosquitoes in the evening. A little bit of insect repellant took care of the problem. However we are in the Tuscan countryside now and the problem is worse here. Cintonella candles light up all outdoor cafes and trattorias here which was not the case in Positano.
We fell in love with Rosa and her beautiful vacation apartment. We feel we have made a friend for life. When visiting this amazing area again, we will make this little gem our hideaway. Gracia Bella Rosa
Rosa was absolutely adorable! She was extremely helpful and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Highly recommend staying with her.
Although the flat is not downtown Positano, there is a bus from outside the flat that drops you off in the centre of Positano. Also the advantage here is that you have plenty of parking space. Which is an issue all around Positano.
My girlfriend and I will definitely come back and stay at Rosa's!
Rosa's apartment was simply amazing. An incredible view of Positano. Her location is actually in Laurito which is about a $20 cab ride to the town not a problem for us as Rosa reserved a scooter rental for us to get around which was amazing. Highly recommend a scooter regardless of where you stay. By Scooter it's about a 10 minutes to Positano and the ride is breathtaking the entire way. Be sure to stop at Salvatorre's fruit stand for some fresh and delicious orange or lemon juice along with plenty of fresh delicious fruit.
There is a private stair case and beach (flat rocks) is Rosa's complex. Absolutely amazing. We packed drinks, food and walked down about 500 steps and had the whole place to ourselves a nightlight if the trip for us. Private beach and cove for swimming and baking in the sun. We called a water taxi to pick us up and take us to One fire from the our private beach absolutely perfect.
The local grocer has a deal with Rosa we had drinks, food delivered right to us at the apartment. The apartment is located in a gated private community very safe and easy to find.
Everything about the apartment was great. We cooked and ate breakfast there each morning I can't say enough how spectacular the view is.
Rosa is an excellent host. Look forward to staying here again very soon.
