LIVE THE REAL NEW YORK EXPERIENCE
This apartment is perfect for those wanting to experience a true local New York experience. We are offering a private bedroom with queen size bed in great location on Rivington street in Lower East Side. The neighborhood is very lively and definitely the hip place in the city to be (Even Lady Gaga has lived on this street and sings often about it in her songs-)
The neighborhood is synonymous for local galleries, trendy dive bars and has some of New York’s best cafes, restaurants, bars, live music and clubs outside your door step.
The F Train is 2 blocks away and the M & J & the 6 lines are 3 blocks away, which means that your only minutes away from Times Square, Central Park, Central Station, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center and Broadway Musicals. You are also a few blocks away (walking distance) from Soho, China Town, Little Italy and the East Village. And for those wanting to experience Brooklyn you are also around 10 minutes by train going the opposite way. But trust us once you experience Lower East Side you may find it difficult to leave the area.
The room is available for up to 2 people (sharing one bed).

TRAVEL FROM THE AIRPORT: whether your coming from JFK or LaGuardia there is a flat airport charge of $45 plus tolls, tax and tip for anywhere into Manhattan

The room was very small but clean, good enough if you'r out whole day and just need a bed to sleep on. The common living room was spacious and clean too. The tiny bathroom was full of fireflies. The apartment on the fifth floor (no elevator) is surrounded by tons of really good restaurants and bars. In walking distance to Chinatown, Soho and the East Village. About 20 min by subway to Time Square and Central Park.
Like many of the other reviews, I found contacting Keith to be very easy. The room is slightly larger than a queen bed. The common area was comfortably large.
The issue we ran into was the cleanliness of the bathroom and kitchen area. The sink porcelain was broken but functional. The bathroom had some mold growing around the shower in many places. After hitting the mold with some bleach, it looked like there was a layer of dirt attached to all of the walls. The kitchen looked in need of a deep cleaning as well. The people in the second airbnb room cooked a pizza in the oven and the oven set off the smoke alarm (not sure if it was from their pizza or other sources).
The location was very nice. The 5 floors of stairs, not so much. I would go back, but only if I was certain the bathroom had been overhauled.
I needed a place to stay last minute and found Keith's place. He was very quick to reply and was flexible with my arrival time. The apartment has a great cozy vibe although it is quite spacious. The room itself is cozy and comfortable. Exactly what I needed. Keith is really friendly and seems like a great guy. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Great location, comfortable apartment and friendly guests. Great host Keith, good advice and information about NY.
Important: fifth floor without elevator, stairs add to the day's walk.
Keith was very accommodating and the communication was excellent. Whether I called or texted, Keith responded in a timely manner. Great location and very convenient to lots of good eats. Thanks Keith!
I did not see keith in person but The appartement was very clean and Big! although the bedroom is a little bit small. Everything was very very good... Thank you for everything :)
Keith was a great host and the room was great! Couldn't have asked for a better experience and I would recommend this to anyone!
Keith was awesome! Being my first airbnb experience I had no idea what to expect and thanks to Keith, I'd gladly use this service again. My stay was everything and more I could've asked for and Keith was amazing at accommodating me. I instantly knew we'd hit it off and even though I didn't know him for long, I'd definitely hit him up in the future! He knew his way around the city and had great recommendations. He made my stay extremely comfortable for traveling on my own. 5 stars for sure!
Our stay at Keith's apartment was a very nice one! It's a great location, surrounded by cool bars and restaurants! Plus the subway is just a block away. On the second day we misplaced our keys and had to contact Keith to organize a replacement- he was so cool about it! And so quick to get back to us with a meeting time. I would highly recommend Keith's place- very awesome stay (-:
The room was as the picture shows, very small but clean and cozy. Rest of the apartment which we could use (kitchen, bathroom and living room) was clean as well.
Great location - walking distance to Little Italy and (email hidden)d to several subway stations.
Would recommend this place :)
