Trallwyn Yurt idyllic setting in Pembs Nat Park. It is in a private+magical dell beyond the cottages, with direct access to the very beautiful moor with the Preslei Hills as a backdrop...There are futons for seating+sleeping+a woodstove to keep you warm. Separate simple kitchen+shower+loo. Stone circle 5 minute walk...Pottery tuition available too! Wifi is available in the Pottery...

The space

Here at Trallwyn Cottages we have just one Yurt in a lovely private setting a short walk through the gardens away from the cottages...which means you have sole use of the kitchen, shower and loo-you are self sufficient and don't have to share the yurt facilities with anyone else...
There is a simple kitchen with 2 gas rings, a fridge, and toaster, pots and pans crockery and cutlery. Also garden table and benches.

There is electricity in the Yurt kitchen and we can run an electric cable to the Yurt...please ask...otherwise the lighting is by night lights in lanterns...we supply the first nights...we suggest bringing a torch and night lights and indoor/outdoor footwear please as the Yurt is a shoes off area...

This is upmarket camping...with a woodstove to keep you warm....and futons for seating by day and sleeping by night, with rugs and sheepskins and cushions. Linen is provided but please do bring your own towels.

Please note it is a 14 foot Yurt and is ideal for a couple because you can leave the double futon out as a bed and use the two single beds for seating. It will sleep a maximum of 4 with all the futons out as beds...but please note this leaves very little spare space...

Anna offers pottery tuition to guests staying which is a fun way to spend a rainy day...the prices are on her website...

Walking the Preseli Hills and the beautiful coastal path with it's many bays and beaches + catching glimpses of dolphins in the Cardigan Bay...just one of the (URL HIDDEN) well as collecting firewood and having a fire in the firepit out on the moor...just as the sun sets behind the hills...

The Yurt sleeps 2/4 people maximum. If there are more of you we have a Room with a view behind the Yurt which can be hired separately and can sleep an extra 1-2 people. Price per night £20 or £100 per week

Guest access

The Yurt loo is a compost toilet. Which means it is a sit down toilet for everyone...For those who prefer a flush loo you are welcome to use the one in the Pottery building...

Guests also have access to the wifi in the pottery or on the picnic bench outside the pottery.

Pottery tuition is available with Anna (please check she will be here if it's important to you) Pottery is usually available between Easter and mid October.

We have a firepit on the moor and guests are welcome to have afire if they go wooding to collect their own firewood...

There are many communal areas, benches, and a childrens play area in the gardens for guest use and moor benches on the moor by the firepit...

Interaction with guests

Anna enjoys meeting new people and has maps you can borrow of the local area...she is happy to advise you on places of interest and the best beaches etc

Other things to note

Electricity is on a £1 coin meter at at cost price. The first basket of logs is included in the price after which we charge £5 per basket...

Unfortunately we cannot accept pets in the Yurt...but I do have a selection of cottages which are pet friendly...

We do allow a small tent to go with the yurt...just a small 1-2 person tent if sharing the yurt facilities...We charge £5 per night per person for camping...

Most people choose Trallwyn because it is in a beautiful and peaceful environment...somecome for retreats...We ask everyone to be respectful over noise levels. This is not a suitable non stop partying venue. We do attract a lot of musicians...and you may hear some singing or guitars around a fire...acoustic music is fine...

If you come during school holidays you will hear children playing and generally there will be more people about....Out of season you may have the whole place to yourself.

We ask guests to pleas always close the gates to the moor...other wise the sheep and ponies can come in and trample and eat the whole garden up!

Also there is a firepit...and you are welcome to go off collecting your own wood to have a fire on the moor...

Highly recommended Tostock in the yurt. We had amazing weather that really helped. Stove kept us toasty warm. Lovely place, very secluded, silent and magical. Music round the Fire on the Moor was amazing. Great place to stay, we will be returning. X

We were expecting a glamping holiday but it was more like camping. The only difference was the wood burner which was too hot when it was going and cold in the night when it went out. Anna is a very lovely and welcoming person but I just don't think camping is for us. The futon beds were like sleeping on pallets, they were very hard and uncomfortable. I feel bad saying this because Anna was so lovely but if you are not a camper then this is not for you. We tried it but decided we are more suited to caravans or hotels.

Response from Anna:
It was a shame that the Yurt camping experience was not for (URL HIDDEN) was lovely to meet you all... I suppose if you are used to caravans and Hotels - a yurt is perhaps a bit basic for you...most people love the wood burning stove and enjoy the heat from it...and some people keep it going through the night too...and the seating/sleeping arrangements are futons (as described) which tend to be on the firm side ... I am sorry that the Yurt was not what you expected...people who are used to camping usually love staying in the yurt...

Lovely Yurt in a quiet and secluded location. Anna was a great host.

Response from Anna:
Many thanks for the booking Christopher! Yes that one of the reasons people love to book out Yurt - because the setting is so quiet and (URL HIDDEN) is very different to being in a field full of (URL HIDDEN) was lovely to meet you both...

A beautiful, secluded spot. Our first stay in a Yurt. Accommodation really comfortable, with homely furnishings. We even tried the compost loo successfully! (flush toilet available if you want). Good access by road to beaches in Cardigan and Tenby, a fair drive away but worth it. Lovely, friendly owner. A super place to get away from it all and get back to the simple things in life.

We had a lovely stay in the yurt and enjoyed a walk around the moor. The woodburner provided us with a lot of warmth and the electric blanket kept our feet warm :) Anna s garden is defintely a beautiful place to recommend!

Anna moved to Pembrokeshire in was her dream to live somewhere beautiful with a wild landscape and also to build a Pottery...She now offers Pottery tuition to guests staying on well as making her own pots which she sells here at...Ashera Pottery...

She loves so many things about living here...the skylark and the red kites flying overhead...the wonderful skies and sunsets...the everchanging colours...

Anna is an artist in the widest sense...she paints...sings...and above all creates beautiful places for people to stay of her favorite evenings is when people gather round a fire out on the moor for singing and music...which she encourages...and now holds a whole week of music in mid May...

She has 3 children all young adults now...who love visiting...she originally moved partly to be close to the local Steiner School...which is closeby and well worth a visit...

The gardens are all lovingly cared for and planted up with many a twisting archway and a hidden bench...all in a semi-cultivated semi-wild way...

Anna finds the land here so inspiring and enjoys welcoming new visitors to all that is here...
