Description

The space

If you want a relaxing break in the Garden of Ireland then this is the place for you! This one bed apartment is nestled at the end of a stable yard and overlooks the beautiful Wicklow countryside. It comprises of one double bedroom, a large living/kitchen area and a modern bathroom with electric shower.
Maximum of 2 people accommodated in the apartment

The apartment is situated 1.5km from the village of Roundwood and less than 2km to Lough Dan. Glendalough is less than a fifteen minute drive, whilst the centre of Dublin is less than an hour's drive away . This is the perfect place to base yourself if you intend on exploring the Wicklow and Dublin countryside.
There are fantastic local walks around lakes and into the Wicklow mountains (apartment situated just off the Wicklow Way infamous walking route). Mountain biking, canoeing, golf, fishing are all available in the surrounding areas. Just 5 minutes drive away is the well known Ballinastoe mountain bike park. Bike hire and guided tours of the park are available at an extra cost. Please enquire for more details.
Many easy day trips by car can be made to Wexford, Kilkenny and Kildare. You will never tire of things to do and places to see.
If you would prefer to stay closer to home the village of Roundwood has lots to offer......cosy pubs, tasty food and if you're lucky some traditional Irish dancing in Kavanagh's Pub

PLEASE NOTE: Out of courtesy to our guests, we provide enough basic provisions such as toilet paper, washing up liquid, tea and coffee to get you going but as it's a self catering accommodation it is up to guests to replenish their own supplies should they run out.

Guest access

A beautiful cosy 1 bedroom cottage with separate living/ kitchen area and bathroom. There is a space outside the cottage to sit in the sun and enjoy a morning coffee.

Interaction with guests

We will interact with our guests as much or as little as they wish. We have been living in this beautiful area for many years and we know it and love it very much. We are happy to offer advice on the best places to visit, to eat. to hike and to bike but if you prefer to be left alone that is fine too.

The neighborhood

We love the fact that we have the best of both worlds. We live out in the countryside, high in the Wicklow mountains yet we are so accessible to Dublin city- only 45 minutes city! Our neighbourhood is peaceful, safe and relaxing. The cottage is located 10 minutes walk from the village of Roundwood.

Getting around

There is a bus twice a day from Roundwood via Bray to Dublin city. However we would recommend that you hire a car to really get and explore this beautiful area.
