Interaction with Guests
We will interact with our guests as much or as little as they wish. We have been living in this beautiful area for many years and we know it and love it very much. We are happy to offer advice on the best places to visit, to eat. to hike and to bike but if you prefer to be left alone that is fine too.
We love the fact that we have the best of both worlds. We live out in the countryside, high in the Wicklow mountains yet we are so accessible to Dublin city- only 45 minutes city! Our neighbourhood is peaceful, safe and relaxing. The cottage is located 10 minutes walk from the village of Roundwood.
There is a bus twice a day from Roundwood via Bray to Dublin city. However we would recommend that you hire a car to really get and explore this beautiful area.

No smoking in the house. This is a quiet place and not suitable for parties. No loud noise after midnight or before 9am in the morning. Please be respectful and considerate to the property and it's owners at all times.
Simple comfortable spacious and clean. Lovely and quiet with fantastic views of the Wicklow mountains. Good value for money
Our host was away for the week end but we were able to gain access with no issues. Minor repairs were being completed to the plumbing as we arrived so everything was in working order.
The setting was very tranquil. When the mist rose in the morning and when the sun came out, it was just glorious.
Great location for discovering the best that the Wicklow Mountains has to offer. Local village has a couple of good pubs to visit, as well as a very good cafe and restaurant.
Whilst the cottage is clean and warm, it does lack a homely feel. The living room sofa is not very comfy and the tv isn't connect to an aerial. There was also no hot water (apart from the power shower) and cooking would be difficult given the lack of equipment.
We have spent a great time in Emma's house (my 25th birthday).
The house is very cosy, and warm. Location is great, it is in very quite area. It is close to Glendalough and lakes. And it's in walking distance from village, where you can find truly Irish pubs.
Shortly, we hope to go there again.
Wonderful hidden gem in the Wicklow countryside. Beautiful views, very well equipped. Quiet, peaceful and secluded. Our only regret is we only had time on our schedule for one night. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay on our first trip to Ireland.
The cottage was as advertised. It was very clean, there is plenty of living space for two people and the kitchen includes all cooking utensils etc.
The directions given in advance were comprehensive and we had no difficulty finding the cottage. Other than that we had no need to contact the host.
The area is beautiful with lots of nice walks and drives possible. Other points of interest such as Avoca and Glendalough are just a short drive away.
