In the middle of Tulum , not far from the center of town , there`s AEROLITO , a charming hide-out . Tucked into a lush tropical garden there are our individually decorated rooms : Casa del Arbol ( treehouse ), Rincon Precioso ( mayan style stone house ), Casa Alux ( original mayan cabin ).
CASA ALUX is an authentic mayan hut . It·s in between the Treehouse and the Rincon Precioso . It is equipped wih a doublebed and a mosquitonet , a sofa that can be transformed into a bed , fans , sheets and towels .
The private bathroom with a hot and cold watershower is outside the room,
Mexico is a lifely country , so is Tulum . At AEROLITO you can enjoy an oasis away from the busy and noisy street . But please note that you can hear dogs , cocks , mexicans selling goods on the street or people having a party .
Tulum is now a fast growing city , And its getting louder .
The life in Mexico is outdoor , also the fiestas are in open spaces without walls or windows and so its dificult to keep the sounds apart .
Every morning we prepare a delicious breakfast .
Coffe or tea, fresh fruit and juice, natural yogurt and homemade granola ,
Bread and local honey ,
Also eggs and beans and hot sauces , always diferent in flavours and colours .
You can easily reach the closest beach in a 20 minutes bikeride
( In AEROLITO we are renting bicycles to our guests for 50 Pesos per day )
Tulum offers many things to do ,
swimming in a cenote with cristalclear natural water , visiting an arqueological site , like Tulum , Coba or Muyil .
snorkeling , diving , exploring .
Maybe a daytrip to (website hidden) AEROLITO we will help you with advice and ideas to plan your trip .
AEROLITO is just 4 squares to the mainroad of Tulum , where you can find many restaurants and bars , also the busstation and other public transportation .
Sometimes I still can hear the waves of the ocean in a silent night in the low season . Tulum is a new city and it's growing steadily. More people are coming to this paradise, and so the noise level is growing as well . Mexico is a lively and noisy country , life happens often on the streets . Dogs are here to guard houses , the cocks cry early in the morning and party starts usually at 11 pm ending a 4 am . AEROLITO is a quiet oasis in the center , four blocks away from the main strip . It depends from where the wind blows , and where the moon is , noise comes from outside into this paradise .

Ariane is a great host and welcomed us in Tulum on our late arrival from the airport. Aerolito Tulum is great value for money and although the private rooms are very basic they are clean, comfortable and the whole place has a unique charm which made our stay there feel very homely. Aerolito is based in Tulum Town and is walking distance from restaurants, shops and bars. The location is very much a local neighborhood and as other reviewers have mentioned noise can be an issue but with ear plugs (which Ariane also leaves in every room!) its hardly noticeable. The ruins and beach are about a 10-15 min drive which was fine for us a we had a rental car. Do ask Ariane recommendations for restaurants etc.
Ariane also serves breakfast every morning from 08:00-10:00am. Very healthy Mexican breakfast along with yogurt, fruit, muesli etc. Every one has use of their private kitchen and drinking water is made available which is handy. The bathroom are not attached to the room, just a few feet over but wasn't a problem for us.
All in all, great value for money and Ariane is a wonderful host.
Our experience at Ariane's place in Tulum was wonderful. Ariane has put in a lot of work over the years to create a beautiful environment with wonderfully decorated guest spaces. A beautiful garden site in the real part of Tulum! Highly recommended. The breakfast with mango and papaya was an added bonus. Cheers!
We loved our stay at aerolito. We stayed the first two nights of our trip. It was nice to be centrally located. Ariane was a delight! fabulous host and easy to be around. In the mornings she made breakfast (complimentary) and sat a chatted with us.
She gave us a map and marked places she recommended including great restaurants to go to, cenotes etc. Great tour guide!
The cabana was clean, comfortable and just right!
highly recommend staying here if you want something in town for a good price.
Great spot and Ariane is the perfect host ... so kind and accommodating in anyway possible. Don't hesitate to stay here.
Staying at Aerolito with Ariane definitely improved our experience in Tulum. Highly recommended accomodations! We loved the paradise that she has created with little trails, gardens, trees and flowers. The cottage we stayed in was beautiful, well decorated, very comfortable and clean. We loved the spirit of the place - the candles, the artwork, and Ariane's friendliness. It was nice have a home cooked breakfast in the morning and chatting with Ariane - she is very friendly and offered great advice about what to do in Tulum and the surrounding areas. Thanks Ariane!! Great to meet you and hope to see you again!
This review will be similar to our last - we stayed a second night. You can't miss Aerolito when visiting Tulum! It is a sanctuary space that is comfortable with a great vibe. We absolutely loved it! So many great details like the conch shell shower and the hamocks everywhere.

My 2 children are born in Tulum.
I work as a massagetherapist, I bake bread and I do jewelery
and I really enjoy time for doing yoga or swimming.
Tulum and the mexican Carribean is full of natural beauty and I call myself lucky to have discovered it so many years ago.
I am still learning how Airbnb works. I like renting my space, so I can get in touch with people from all over the world.
Looking forward to meet you
