Located within a 10mins walking distance to McCormick Place, the "CHIC little SUITE" occupies the entire second level of my open air duplex loft.
The suite has an en suite bathroom (equipped with towels and toiletries) and comes fully furnished with a king size Tempurpedic bed which sleeps 4, a normal size closet, cable television, and high speed wireless internet.
There is a laundry room (washer+dryer) in my loft, along with a dishwasher and fully functional kitchen for your culinary needs), a balcony (if you're a smoker) which guests are more than welcome to use.
Also there is a large comfortable couch (does not pull out) in the suite which most people use as a bed because it's so large and comfortable. A queen size air mattress can also be provided.
Thanks for visiting my listing and I look forward to hosting you!
Clotaire's apartment was clean, spacious and convenient to McCormick Place or Downtown. We walked to McCormick, which only takes 5-10 minutes depending on how much of a rush you're in, and a taxi is about $10, or there is a bus stop across the road. We didn't meet Clotaire in person but she was an attentive host, calling us on arrival and after a couple of days to make sure everything was OK. Only downside was that the place is a little warm being a loft but it wasn't too bad. We would definitely stay again if we go back!
Clotaire is very friendly and kind. She was sweet in that she had mistaken my evening arrival for a morning arrival and called me concerned that I might have had a mishap in getting there. And she was very understanding when i had some minor issues with the security system upon my arrival and talked me through it. I never met her face to face but she was very helpful.
The loft was clean and attractive in a minimalist way which made it easy to keep it tidy. She even had shampoo, conditioner and lotion along with the linens.I loved being able to utilize the small balcony. Clotaire also had left a fan running so when I entered the room it was stuffy or overly humid.
There are two stories and the stairwell light was out which made me a little anxious going down the stairs to the kitchen and great room. She did warn me that the light was out. There was caffeinated coffee and tea on the counter available, no creamer though. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils and implements. The eggs in the fridge had a past due date of May 20th when I was there 6/14-16; and the cupboards were slightly bare so breakfast was very simple. But it was not a hardship at all. I solved the creamer and decaf issue by going to the store while out touring Chicago and took a chance on hard boiled eggs for breakfast which were fine. I also took a small baggie of Cheerios to snack on as there was no milk.
I do recommend Chez Clotaire because the loft was in a good location, secure, clean and very comfortable in almost every aspect. She was very pleasant and considerate. I would give her a 4.5 star rating if I could.
This was my very first Air BnB experience and I have to say I feel as though I did get value for money. I was located close to the graduation location, McCormick Center, the reason for which I had made the trip. As I stated earlier, most of the important components were definitely in place.
The Appartment was very clean and nice. The location is a bit far from the city center about 20-30 min drive by bus, we waited everytime about 10-20 min until the bus arrives. Clotaire was very helpful and friendly in advance. During our stay she was not in town a friend of her was her and sitted the appartment. As it is a loft we had the upper space with seperate entrance and he had the down part of the loft. There is just one little thing that didn't work well at all. To enter the building we had to dail us in and Clotaire gets a phone call and needs to confirm that to buzz us into the building and so unlock the doors and the elevator. This didn't work, upon my arrival I was only able to enter as another resident with a key entered the building and let me in and on our third night it was raining heavily and we were trying to dial and get buzzed in for around 20 minutes afterwards we were more than just wet, so to get into the building was always a bit of a challange and lucky game. We also had no key for the appartment door, therefore we kept all our valuable items with us when we left the appartment.

Clotaire was a great host. She was very open and always kept in touch, even when she was out of town.
I had a great time in Chicago. The apt. was nice and gave me all I needed.
Awesome stay. Best host ever. Loft is beautiful and clean. Works perfect for two or three people.
Pictures don't do the place justice. It's awesome there. Very close to convention center, walked there everyday.
Taxi cab company across the street.
Can it get any better? :)
The room was excellent. The view was great. The location is a short walk to McCormick Place and a very short cab ride to downtown. Clotaire was a wonderful host, ready to help every time I had a question or request.
Awesome/spacious/tidy place. You are almost guaranteed a great nights sleep upstairs in this very stylish loft as the mattress is almost certain to be better then the one you sleep on at home. The place is conveniently located near a bus stop and has a taxi depot right outside if you prefer to travel this way, but if you're like me you could enjoy a nice 30-45min walk into downtown Chicago. Clotaire is a wonderful host who puts the comfort of her guests as a top priority and if she's around it's hard not to get caught up in her energy and passion for life. Thanks for an enjoyable stay in Chicago!
Clotaire made me feel extremely welcome. The location was a fair distance from downtown, but Clotaire researched bus routes to get to the Loop. She also made suggestions for restuarants during my stay. The place was clean and comfortable (although the loft gets a little warm). I had my own entrance to quietly come and go as I wished. Would highly recommend "Chez Clotaire". Thanks Clotaire!
