Interaction with Guests
I can arrange to meet with you at the beginning of your stay to help familiarize guests, but will not interfere with you during the duration of your visit.
The cabin is at the back of a small court in a quiet residential area at the top of the Highlands area near Dollar Point. It is about 3 miles from downtown Tahoe City and 3/4 mile from CA-28, North Lake Blvd., the road that circles the lake. Most of the neighbors are full time residents and will welcome you to experience Tahoe as a "local".
There is a flat paved driveway that can accommodate 2 cars. The Tahoe bus line (TART) has a Dollar Point stop about 3/4 mile away along the main highway that circles the lake.
Other Things to Note
There is a brand new wall mounted LG flat screen in the living room with full digital cable and high speed wireless internet access. The kitchen is equipped with slab granite, a Sub Zero fridge, Bosch dishwasher, stainless sink and a new Frigidaire premium series range and microwave. It is fully stocked for cooking, including both basics and an occasional rotating inventory of food and beverages. Please feel free to consume available items in the kitchen. I only ask that you treat everything as your own, replace what you use and don't leave perishables behind.
Please be welcome to relax and enjoy the space as your own. I only ask that you treat everything as you would in your own home. Thanks!
Our stay at Scott's wonderful Tahoe cabin was everything we hoped for and more. Scott was incredibly responsive, organized and accommodating while we planned our stay in Tahoe. He made us feel very welcomed and always quickly responded to any questions we had. Scott's cabin is well kept, cozy, peaceful and enjoyable. Its location is especially a wonderful highlight because it allowed us to explore nature and trails right out the back door as well as quickly get to other Tahoe favorites. We loved being at Scott's cabin so much that we extended our stay when it was time to leave. We will definitely be back and would without a doubt recommend staying here to others. Thanks Scott for a wonderful vacation for our family of 4 and dog!
Scott's cabin in Tahoe City is the perfect escape for a weekend. It's located up the hill fro Dollar Point adjacent to Tahoe Cross Country -- if there's enough snow you could literally hop on your skies and hit the trails from your back door. The cabin itself is really well done -- top of the line furnishings and was just big enough for our family of five. Scott was super helpful and welcoming as well -- even leaving a bottle of wine out for us upon arrival. Can't say enough good things about Scott and his house. Happy to return.
This place is really a delight. Nice sunny rooms, great office space if you need to work remotely and a well-provisioned kitchen. Obviously the most compelling element is its location. Right out the back door, onto the trail system. We did about 24 miles of running and hiking, with great views of the lake and plenty of freedom for the dogs.
Scott was very organized and super-easy to work with. Instructions were spot-on. We'll definitely want to stay here again.
Great cabin in a good location. Worked really well for our family of four and our pup. Scott is a great host and communicates very well. We would definitely stay here again.
Scott was very nice, and flexible as we had to make a change in dates and made us feel welcome. The house was as described and has some nice architectural touches.
The cabin was a fabulous place to spend our holidays! The cabin was well-stocked, clean, and cozy. Scott was extremely responsive, and we would stay here again.
