Couples Retreat { ideally}

Your Mediterranean tropical acreage,
5 Min /5klm to town centre and beach.

Perfectly set up for Romantic Couples, who wish to reconnect and detox away from screens.

If your looking for somewhere peaceful, water fountains, warmth and smell of a wood fire, relaxing in a hammock or lounging on the outdoor day couch, reading or playing games with your beloved then this is the place for you.

Beloved dogs welcome.

The space
Our hand crafted home is cool in summer & built in true Mediterranean style with large doors that open onto a courtyard and gardens from all directions. Breeze, and tiles keep it lovely and cool in summer and easy to clean if you bring your dog.
There is a wood fireplace for winter romance also both indoors and outside.

Enjoy dinner outdoors in the undercover courtyard dining room, surrounded by the abundant birds, wildlife and olive trees.

You will love the privacy of 2.5 acres of acreage so close to the beaches and town.

Take a stroll through our tropical gardens, all fenced.
The back acreage is our private property which has shared road access behind the dam. You may see our car go past when we are staying, but we respect your privacy and the full front acreage is your private space.

All linen is supplied and included. This includes your pillows, sheets, doonas, bath towel, bath mat and tea towels.

Bedrooms:

The huge master bedroom was built and inspired from our honeymoon with romance and nature influences. A king bed with large ensuite, including a claw foot bath and huge timber windows may mean you never need to use the rest of the house. French doors open out from the master onto the courtyard.
*Please note that this is the only bathroom and extra guests will need to walk through the master bedroom to access the bathroom.

Additional room:

There is also a small, high ceiling, bunk room, perfect if you have an older child/ren or additional guest.

An additional loft above the kitchen hosts 2 x floor mattresses if you need them. (Bring own linen for floor mattresses)

About pets:

We allow a maximum of 2 pets. Small to medium dogs 🐶 only. Pets must be vaccinated and flea treated. You are responsible for any damages that your pet may incur. Please clean up and remove all poop. Although we allow your pets inside, we ask that you keep them off the furniture and under no circumstances are they allowed on any of the couches or beds.
An additional cleaning fee will be charged if this rule is not respected. Thank you in advance for your co-operation.

The 2.5 acres is fully fenced with large mesh wire. There is also a small, fully fenced yard attached to the house with high timber pailings.Perfect if you need to leave your pet at home safely whilst out.

Indoor Wood fire place:

There is a nominal amount of fire wood supplied on your first night for your arrival during your Winter stay (June/July/August)
However if you require any additional wood it can be easily purchased (at your cost) per bag locally in town at the service station.
If you use the outdoor fire please leave clean and tidy for next guests.

Welcome to our favorite place in Australia. Agnes Water/1770 captured our heart many years ago when my husband and I travelled Australia back in 2002.

We purchased the block of land and began to build and create a holiday lifestyle. With beautiful beaches and the great barrier reef at the door, abundant national parks we never felt bored of exploring the natural beauty of the area .

After 19 years this is still our family home when we need some land time.

We are sailing the east coast of Australia in our yacht currently travelling and living aboard our ocean home, we return often for holidays while we are exploring other magical spots in Australia for the time being.

I have many passions, one of which includes a culmination of more than 20 years of love and intrigue into the human body and holistic modalities of health and wellness brought forth through my ‘ Kahuna bodywork sessions’. I also love working with couples to inspire and keep the connection strong with Embodied couples connection sessions.

We love being in nature. We love to surf and be on the sea {my husband is a skipper.}
Lovers of food and food being the heart of the home hence the beautiful oven.
We love being inspired to create memories through the senses.

My husband and I travelled Australia for a year, after I had traveled and worked abroad. We settled in Agnes as it was our favorite place.

One of our most favourite things is spending time in nature, by the ocean, by an open fire, at the beach, camping, island exploring, Great Barrier Reef snorkeling, and most of all together.

Please enjoy your stay as much as we did. Careful though, our' lets give it a go' for a year turned into 19 wonderful years of exploration and adventure.
