Breda is an exceptional host. She went out of her way to make this booking work. Her home is amazing and is the perfect place to stay. Breakfast was exquisite.
Breda was an amazing host and so welcoming, she greeted us with tea and a fire in the gorgeous library and in the morning we had a huge breakfast. The home was beautiful and tucked away on a tranquil farm.
Staying in Breda's home was an absolute delight. Her beautiful and cozy home is over 300 years old, and has so much amazing family history. My boyfriend and I felt like we were in an episode of Downton Abbey! Breda was very kind and welcoming, and immediately offered us cup of tea by the fire when we arrived. In the morning, Breda made us the most delicious Irish breakfast, which we ate by the window in the dining room, overlooking the river at the back of the house. It was beautiful! Should you find yourself in Ireland, please make time to stay at Breda's...it will be very worth your while!
This is a beautiful and stunning house where you won't be disappointed with both the famous Irish hospitality and the marvellous setting.
Our accommodations were simply amazing, I wish we could have had time to explore the grounds and the house. Breda met us in Thomastown and helped us make our way to the house. She is a delight to visit with and made us feel like family. The rooms were very comfortable, exactly as shown in the pictures.
Our stay at the Ballyduff House could not have been more perfect. It was like a dream come true and it definitely made our Ireland vacations more enjoyable.
Breda gave us a very warm welcome with some tea to savour by the fireplace in the amazing living room area rich of history and cozy ambiance. The room was more charming that we could have possibly imagine. We felt like the Royal Family. Once the afternoon tea over, Breada gave us an amazing restaurant recommandation in the village nearby (Thomastown), one of the best food we had in Ireland.
The breakfast was served in an elegant room with portrait of ancestors on the wall. We felt like we where in Downtown Abbey.
This is not to mention how WONDERFUL Breda and her husband are. They make us feel very welcome and good in their little paradise. Our only regret that we have is that we could not have stayed more than one night because we were heading to Dublin the next day.
Thank you vey much Breda for this amazing experience life in this little paradise. We will always remember our stay with you. Wish we could return there soon.
Special mention to Jack the lovely dog of the house :)
