Belturbet is a quiet town along the banks of the river Erne - Ireland's second longest river and the people of the town are very welcoming and helpful. There are local designated walks, and several places of interest to visit within the town on foot!
There is a return Bus Eireann Express service between our town Belturbet and Dublin Airport / Dublin City 9 times daily with excellent choice of times for the 90 minute journey. There is also a local Bus service connection Cavan and Enniskillen several times daily. The Ulsterbus service from Belturbet to Enniskillen has some good value offers in Day Return tickets to cities like Belfast - ideal for visits to the Titanic Quarter.
We stayed in this lovely townhouse for 4 nights and had a fantastic time. Rooms were good in size and warm, in a great location to the town. Additionally, Tony was a very friendly and accommodating guy - gave us good information, helped us with booking buses and invited us for a drink with him on one of the nights.
Would definitely stay here again if we were ever passing through.
Gracias, Tony! Lo pasamos muy bien!
Thanks Alexia - it was sure a delight to have you both here. Google translates above to read something like this:- Very nice Belturbet. The very fresh air, beautiful walking routes (The Savoy l or Turbet Island). Many scenic spots and fields with cows I vejitas. All very quiet. Ideal for Escape 2 short weeks of sweltering heat of Spain in August. Tony was very friendly (always willing to help) and gave us lots of information about places to visit in the town and county. The house was very large N2 c Omoda for us. The kitchen had everything to cook. Tony brought a fire-log day and teach us how to use the fireplace. We read books and practiced our English in pubs drinking Guiness. Thank you, Tony! What a great time!
We had a great stay and a warm welcome from host Tony. We had everything we needed and more, and was the perfect base to explore the surrounding historic buildings and sites. I booked last minute and was delighted when Tony was able to accommodate us at such short notice. There was a petrol station and Mace shop next door which was super convenient and loads of lovely eating places and bars to choose from. Tony was very knowledgeable and shared some great info on places to visit locally. Highly recommended.
