Belturbet is a quiet town along the banks of the river Erne - Ireland's second longest river and the people of the town are very welcoming and helpful. There are local designated walks, and several places of interest to visit within the town on foot!
There is a return Bus Eireann Express service between our town Belturbet and Dublin Airport / Dublin City 9 times daily with excellent choice of times for the 90 minute journey. There is also a local Bus service connection Cavan and Enniskillen several times daily. The Ulsterbus service from Belturbet to Enniskillen has some good value offers in Day Return tickets to cities like Belfast - ideal for visits to the Titanic Quarter.

Member EU Committee of The Regions (Brussels) 1998 - 2006. Leader of County Cavan Delegation at President Clinton's White House Conference for Investment in Norhern Ireland and The Border Counties 1995. Developed Erneside Self-Catering Townhouses in Belturbet in 1997 to cater for increasing numbers of Anglers and General Tourists to this area. The increasing number of Genealology researchers coming here every year is very welcome, and just a reminder to allow yourselves time to visit local sources of information - like the Genealogy centre in Cavan, the Registry of Deaths, Births and Marriages - as many of these offices close on Friday evenings, and re-open on Monday morning, guest arriving earlier in the week have a greater opportunity to do theur research before visiting areas of likely interest to find their ancestors.
