Description

The Space

This building is a converted hotel built in 1910 in the heart of historic Hyde park. The space is full of charm and history - if you're looking for something more modern and polished this is probably not the place for you. Wood floors throughout. Huge windows make the space full of light. Guests will have access to the entire apartment including kitchen. I've included a small assortment of traveling essentials in your room to enjoy. Best part - mattress is brand new, memory foam, with all new linens (fresh sheets and towels will be provided). Apartment comfortably accommodates 2, but my couch is big and very comfortable as well should you have one or two more guests.

Guests will have access to wireless internet, free parking, kitchen, tv, bike (I have one), bathroom and iron.

I would welcome the opportunity to show guests around, give recommendations or simply give space. Entirely up to you. I will be present for your arrival to give a brief overview of the apartment and give you a key. I have the check in set to 5pm. This is generally easiest for me M to F - weekends I can be a lot more flexible. If you require an earlier check in, please inquire and we can try to work something out.

This neighborhood is quiet and lush with charm and historic homes and buildings. It's easy to walk everywhere. Three blocks from the bay (not the beach). Always some kind of an event going on downtown which is less than a mile away.

You can pretty much walk or bike everywhere. Cab fares are cheap because everything is so close. Tampa also has Uber now! I am .9 miles from the Convention Center.

My dog lives on the property - won't be there for your stay, but am mentioning in case you're allergic. If you could please inquire about availability first, that would be great!

Guests will have access to wireless internet, free parking, kitchen, tv (no cable but I do have a DVD player with lots of movies), bike (I have one), bathroom, iron and coffee.

I'm a 29 year-old graphic designer and digital marketing strategist living in historic Hyde Park near downtown Tampa. As a host, I take pride in providing my guests with an authentic Tampa experience - very knowledgable about the best places to eat and drink in the area as well as local attractions (see my guidebook). As a guest, I very much enjoy host recommendations and interactions and of course treating a space as I would want a guest to treat my own rental.

I have been on a travel mission this past year. So far I have visited Paris, London (twice), Milan, Switzerland and New Orleans! Next on the list is Portugal and hopefully London again. I enjoy seeing a new location from a local's point-of-view and very much like solo travel.

When breaks from work and hosting occur, I'm often busy taking care of my Weimaraner "Bentley," studying travel guides, enjoying classic cocktails, binge watching the latest Netflix phenomenon and participating in local Tampa events. My latest obsession is the Periscope app! For information about my listing and/or general Airbnb tips and FAQs check out my "scopes" by following me at @KDRobinette86.
