Are you looking for a quiet but central place to stay in style and comfort? Lovely, bright room in a 2-bed apartment near city centre - you can walk or take a 10-minute bus ride into town after a light breakfast served in a cheerful living room.
The apartment has been recently decorated and furnished, so everything is fresh, bright and airy. Cheerful art posters give this home a colourful, welcoming touch. There´s cupboard space in your room for clothes and your cases so you are not cramped.
You will have a double room with a new 160cm bed. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and towels are of course provided. I will serve you a light breakfast to start the day and you are welcome to use the living room and balcony and join me for a cup of tea or a glass of wine in the evening.
Interaction with Guests
I am happy to give guests ideas and tips on things to do and places to see, as well as restaurants etc. I am Irish and love Dublin! I speak fluent German and some French and Italian.
Phibsborough is a popular neighbourhood because it is lively and friendly with lots of shops, pubs and most important it is convenient to both the airport and the city centre. I live in a secluded street, right beside the Royal Canal.
You can use the bus to get into town - it´s only about 10 minutes or you could even walk. From the airport it´s about 20 minutes by taxi. There is a free parking space at the apartment.
It´s a non-smoking apartment but you can smoke on the balcony off the living room.
Small pets may be allowed if they are not noisy.
We´ll be sharing a bathroom and I would appreciate it if guests don´t use the shower after 11pm.
Our stay with Jean was quite lovely. We arrived later at night and Jean was kind enough to wait up for us. She even made us a cup of tea as well as breakfast the next morning! The room and bathroom were very comfortable and clean. Jean was also kind enough to recommend places to see and eat around the city. Her apartment is very close to the bus stop, where it takes about 10 minutes to get to the city center. We also walked in in about 20 minutes. Not too bad. Overall, Jean was a great host!!!
My stay with Jean was absolutely phenomenal. My friend and I couldn't have asked for a nicer, more welcoming, and generous host. The accommodation were absolutely perfect - not far from the city centre and a very quite and comforitable bed. Breakfast in the morning was hearty and the perfect way to start the day. We were there for New Years and when the weather was particularly cold and rainy she opened her home to us to welcome in the new year with her. Couldn't think of a better way to celebrate 2015 then with a warm fire and a nice glass of wine. Overall our stay with Jean in dublin was fantastic and would stay with her again in a heartbeat
Jean was a lovely host. She welcomed us upon arrival to a very nice, clean flat and sat us down with a cup of tea to chat. The flat was just as it was described in the listing. The neighbourhood was nice and quiet. Pretty easy walk into town, but taxis are also rather cheap.
Jean helped us figure out some activities to do in and around Dublin and we enjoyed the conversation we had with her in the mornings. She set out breakfast each morning for us, included tea, juice, fresh bread and jam, and cereal.
Thank you, Jean, for your warm welcome and everything you did for us. It was great time we spent at your place. The room was very confortable, the breakfasts just delicious and we appreciate a lot the conversations with you. Thank you a lot for your patience with my husband and that you spoke very slowly with him. He felt really great, that he was capable of communication in English and he is now very keen in next learning of the language. It was also very helpful, that you helped us with the transport and the maps. As we did not achieve to see everything we wanted, it would be great to come again and spend some more pleasant evenings with you :)
We enjoyed our stay at Jeans place very much! She owns a newly renovated, clean and nicely furnished apartment. Jean is a very friendly, open minded and very helpful host. She gave us useful information and support for discovering Dublin. When coming “home” we appreciated having chats with her, she is interested in a broad variety of topics.
The breakfast was marvellous with even fresh made bread and good orange juice and Muesli. From her place it’s a 15 minutes walk to the City Center; the surrounding area of the apartment is peaceful and quite.
We can highly recommend Jeans place to anyone and we hope we’ll have the chance to come back to Dublin and spent a few days at Jeans lovely place!
Well located, clean, comfortable and nice. The room is welcoming and bright. Jean is a warm and gracious host. The perfect breakfasts were accompanied by nice conversations. She gave us many useful tips about Dublin. Thank you Jean, for the lovely days! (I hope I wrote it correctly :p)
Jean's place is well-located, comfortable, clean, and just as pictured. The room and shower are great. Jean provides a great breakfast along with a great chat and advice on what to see on your time in Dublin. We are definitely coming back next time we're in Dublin!
