(Calendar is up to date).
/////There are 2 mountain BIKES available for hire at the villa. Price per bike per week: €50///// I checked local hire shops and they charge over €100/ week so I figure €50 is a decent price. Obviously the bike hire shops offer more options: Kids bikes, daily rental, etc. They can also deliver but ideally need 2 or 3 days notice. (The area is lovely for getting around on a bike).
Has 3 bedrooms: 2 with double beds, 1 with bunk beds. There's also a futon sofabed available if needed. One of the double rooms is upstairs and is reachable by an outside staircase. This bedroom has it's own bathroom and enjoys a beautiful view. There is also a cot available.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you might need, very cooking friendly.
The lounge is equipped with uk sky freeview and a DVD player. There is internet access, (wifi) available throughout the villa and garden. Recommended bringing a laptop or phone to connect to the wifi, if only to help you with local info, maps, etc.
The dining table comfortably seats 6 people, (there is also a breakfast terrace by the kitchen with a table that seats 4). There's herbs in the garden which you're welcome to use.
There's a terrace with a bbq & fridge, comfy seating, decking and a beautiful pergola. The covered terrace lights up at night.
The garden gets plenty of sun. Ideal for children too. There is also a covered patio for games: table-tennis, dartboard, beach toys, a few golf clubs, etc... all available.
San Pedro Beach is 200 metres away: restaurants, beach bars and sun beds. A few spots worth mentioning...
Chiringuito Guayaba, (200 metres): Laid back beach bar and restaurant... drinks, tapas and local sea-food. Prices are more affordable here. (Recommended!) Also has sun beds.
Borabora (200 metres): Beach club with a restaurant, bar, swimming-pool, sunbeds, and water sports hire.
El Ancla (300 metres): Restaurant with a big swimming pool overlooking the sea, serving some great food. Daily swimming pool pass €10, (probably the best option for a big swimming-pool near the villa).
San Pedro Promenade starts about 200 metres away. Good for strolls, sport, and kids. Along it you'll find restaurants, beach bars and children's play areas. Sportswise... good for jogging, skating, dog-walking and cycling. There is also jet-ski's available for rent on the beach and a tennis / gym club about 500 metres away.
The main San Pedro hub is a 20 minute walk away. A bit of a trek but there's things along the way to keep you going: Garden paths, water fountains and a large children's play area. San Pedro's useful for: shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, cash points, terrace cafes, pedestrian streets, Spanish style squares and a street market, (every Thursday).
The area is centrally located on the coast. Everything you might need is within 5 or 10 minutes drive from the villa: Two major shopping centres, over 15 golf clubs, sport centres, Puerto Banus for it's restaurants and nightlife, cinema and casino, and Marbella for an evening out maybe, with its little streets in the old part of town.
Also within 10 minutes drive, there are over 20 different beaches you can visit. All slightly different in their own way... some bussier or sportier, some quieter and more laid-back, all with varying beach bars, restaurants and prices.
The airport is 40 minutes drive to the East in MALAGA, picturesque in-land town RONDA is 40 minutes drive North, Gibraltar and windsurfing & kite-surfing hub TARIFA are about 45 minutes drive to the West, (Tarifa's definitely a good day out if the weather suits. All surfing gear, etc available for hire around Tarifa).
