The place Chema Y Marga have created is connected to the earth and sky, from above so below, a manifesto to sustainable living. Marga is a great chef be sure and taste her lunches and dinners. The atmosphere of the cloud forrest is magical. We were guided to beautiful hikes, and a natural swimming hole in a local river below water falls, the acoustics of this place are calming. Take time and listen to Chema's words he has much to teach us all. Chema gave us a riding lesson, riding the white horses connected us to this farm. We look forward to returning. Ruzica & Bernard

"It's not the destination, it's the journey of getting there"' Well, perhaps this is the exception to this old saying. We absolutely enjoyed everything about our stay with Marga and Chema's beautiful farm. The interactions, the conversations, the beautiful clean, super cool and well thought out house are just the beginning. The view from the top of the ridge is breath taking, with the valley on the east side and the Whales Tale and Pacific to the west. It is a hikers paradise, a gardeners dream and an equests fantasy. Chema was a wealth of information ans a delight to talk to. Marga is one of the most beautiful people you will meet, and will cook you one of the best meals you will have in Costa Rica. If you have the chance to stay there, don't hesitate, it could be the highlight of your trip, it certainly was ours!!!

This is a beautiful, well designed retreat, with wonderful views, nature, hikes. Chema and Marga were very gracious hosts and we enjoyed great conversations about the world and sustainability. There is a nice yoga and meditation space, wonderful meals cooked by Marga, two friendly dogs, three beautiful horses, and primary forest with lots of birdsong. A great place to get away from it all for awhile and contemplate regenerative sustainability.

From the air you breathe to the water you drink to the wildlife and the scenery, this location is truly paradise! The home in and of itself is magnificent! Chem and Marga are gracious, accommodating, knowledgable, friendly, genuine hosts and their cooking is out of this world!! This was an awe inspiring experience that left me feeling an intrinsic connection to all that is life. This was an amazingly therapeutic experience that I am fortunate to have been a part of :-)

We are native from Madrid, Spain. Residing in Costa Rica since 1976, following a sustanable way of life. We offer holistic health and sustainable practices seminars. We also offer horse back riding for experienced riders and nature hikes through the tropical forest and to the local waterfalls and pools.
For us to have a guest is a way to share our way of life, to promote a sustainable life and to make friends.
Our main object is two fold, first is to simplify our way of life by practicing sustainable techniques and regenerative activities; second is to be minimizing our impact on the planet, that is, that our ecological footprint would be less and as we see it, is about quality of life instead of standard of living.
