I was traveling with my wife and two daughters (ages 2 and 14), and this was our first stop in Morocco. We were excited about Marrakech in general, and we were very enthusiastic about staying in a riad in the medina. There were a lot of good things about this listing. Veronique was a kind, gentle, and informative host. She helped us get our bearings in the medina and gave us some good recommendations about where to go and what to do (and not do). The place was nice enough - definitely worth the price. The rooftop area is amazing and we had a great time up there in the evenings. The rest of the riad was spotty, but it's important to remember that we visited during Ramadan and Veronique was in the process of doing some substantial work. Some areas (like the bathroom) were tastefully remodeled, but other areas were unfinished, under repair, or unfurnished. The pictures are probably nicer than the actual place (when we were there, at least). It was not as good as some of the other similarly-priced airbnbs we stayed in while in Morocco. Still, we left quite satisfied with our stay here because Veronique was so nice and the location was great.

Probably the best Airbnb Experience I have ever had. Veronique's home is located in a excellent area for the traveler that is seeking a unique experience. She's without a doubt the best host I've ever had and I can't recommend staying her enough. I'm planning on going back!

We felt very comfortable with Veronique and her household and she made us feel so welcome in her house. We ate breakfast together most days and she would give us suggestions or help with bookings. She really just likes to meet new people! The apartment is spacious and very clean by Marrakech standards. The WiFi is spotty and unreliable, but it's ok for some quick email checking (not so great for my sister's work Sykpe meeting). There is no way to lock the room door from the outside-- you can lock it when you are within, but not when you are leaving. This made me a little uncomfortable, since we had passports and computers to leave, but it seems to be common in Morocco to have such locks. By and large we did not feel unsafe. The apartment is in a very convenient location in the Medina and is not more than a 15-20 minute walk anywhere we wanted to go. I recommend the free app "Marrakech Riad Travel Guide" -- it uses the GPS in your smartphone (which does not rely on cellular or WiFi) and overlays it onto a map of Marrakech. This was invaluable to us as we navigated the Medina and the Souks.

I had a great time staying at Veronique's place. Khalid was a very kind man and helped us with out arrival from the airport to the riad. He also made us breakfast in the morning! The room was clean, charming and relaxing. The open space was shared amongst Khalid and another guest who was super kind and helped us get acquainted with the city. At night we relaxed on the rooftop and watched the stars before we slept. The place is in the middle of the medina, super busy, but its central location allowed us to easily walk through the medina and see all the main attractions. big thanks !!

We loved staying with Veronique! She assisted us by sending a taxi to meet us at the airport and was gracious in everything. Her home and it's location were perfect!!! Her house is in the thick of everything. Veronique also assisted us with things we were interested in purchasing and really went out of her way for us. She is just an incredibly lovely person. Stay at Veronique's home -- it will be a high point of her travels.

Veronique was such a lovely host-- we showed up with no real plans and ready for anything, and she was a wealth of knowledge and information about Marrakech. Our trip was very much enhanced by Veronique's guidance-- I feel we are indebted to her for her kindness and generosity! She also let us take over the kitchen for a cooking class she helped arrange with a local who helped us buy the ingredients in the market and helped us cook. The riad itself is very charming (for instance there are 2 house turtles that roam about), and the location is right in the thick of the Medina so there is no shortage of crazy high-energy Marrakech available to soak in. There is a market for basic food and water as well as decent restaurants serving both modern and traditional fair within only 5min walk. Since the rooms are on the ground floor, the space is very cool even when it was unseasonably hot outside. Plenty of warm water and no issues at all. I felt it was a comfortable place to stay for 4 nights.

Veronique was an amazing host! She gave perfect directions to the Riad prior to arrival and pointed us to some amazing restaurants during our stay. She even offered my group of three the use of the second bedroom, which was very nice. Everything was true to images and it was a pleasant stay. You have to go to the terrace! The only thing I would let people know, is if you have issues with cats (being around them in your space, smelling them, etc)...this might not be ideal for you. We are all cat lovers but if someone isn't, I could see this being a big downside.
