We had a fantastic stay at Veronique’s Riad. Veronique had very kindly arranged a cab to greet us at the airport and take us to the Riad. The location was extremely convenient, only about a 15 min walk to Jaama el Fna through all the souks. Considering it is quite central and there a main street close by it was very quiet and peaceful, also has an amazing roof top terrace to relax on after a long day exploring. We had breakfast provided every day and Veronique was extremely helpful in terms of where we should eat and what we could see. Would definitely recommend this Air BnB for a stay in Marrakech!
Thanks for having us! And say hi to John-Walou & Khalid
Just returned from a gorgeous 3 nights stay at Veronique's place with my two friends. We shared a comfortable, spacious room off the beautiful courtyard. We loved everything about staying with Veronique - the orange trees, her friendly cat, the funny sleepy tortoises, the delicious food ( breakfast and lunch), endless pots of tea and coffee on the sunny roof terrace or the cool, calm courtyard... but most of all it was great meeting Veronique and getting to know her. She is a great host and open, friendly person. She arranged a pick up from the airport and came to meet us, took us to a flea market and even joined us at a lovely bar on our last night. Staying at Veronique's was definitely the best way to experience Marrakech!
Veronique is a very friendly and lovable host! She organized a transfer from the airport to her Riad so that we had no problems finding her Riad. Having arrived, we could choose between the small and the big room. We chose the big room and I would recommend choosing the big room if you want some privacy from your travel partner when you are in the bathroom.
The location is brilliant! Walking about 10-15 minutes to the Djemaa el Fna is no Problem due to an easy way through all the souks.
Veronique gave us some good tips for restaurants near by and prepared us a simple but delicious breakfast (with home made orange marmalade :) ) on the rooftop terrace.
Our room itself was a little bit cold, but Veronique gave us some electric heaters. I think this is only a problem if you are traveling in February.
Important to all people having allergic issues with cats: There are many cats on the roofs of Marrakech. Therefore, there are many hairs from these cats especially on the rooftop terrace and not in the sleeping room.
All in all we loved our stay at Veronique!
Veronique was an amazing host! She gave perfect directions to the Riad prior to arrival and pointed us to some amazing restaurants during our stay. She even offered my group of three the use of the second bedroom, which was very nice. Everything was true to images and it was a pleasant stay. You have to go to the terrace! The only thing I would let people know, is if you have issues with cats (being around them in your space, smelling them, etc)...this might not be ideal for you. We are all cat lovers but if someone isn't, I could see this being a big downside.
We very much loved this traditional riad in Marrakech! It was very roomy and the courtyard was beautiful and inviting. There is a full kitchen and the bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The location is absolutely perfect - just a few minutes walk to the Jama al Fna and the Museum of Marrakech. Veronique herself was wonderfully communicative and responsive as our plans were in flux right up to the day we arrived at the riad. She made arrangements very quickly even when she had to leave the country. The only things that could be improved was that the wifi was very spotty and since we were there in winter, the rooms were chilly and the space heaters did not work great. Other than that, a perfect experience at this riad in Marrakech!
Veronique etait tres chaleureuse comme hostesse. Elle nous a donné des conseils pour decouvrir Marrakech aussi
