We had a wonderful time staying in Veronique's house. It is very close to the medina but still very quiet. veronique was incredibly helpful and it was great to have her around. The only thing to note is that breakfast is after 9am which may be a little late if you have early rising little ones like us.

Everything was perfect for me and the host is a quiet and charming artist. I enjoyed a lot during my short stay in Marrakech with my sisters. The breakfast on the terrace was nice and warm. There are two cats. One is very active and the other is very mysterious. I personally like the cats jumping up and down around me. I will come again for sure!

Veronique's home is a wonderful place to stay, and I'd recommend it to anyone. The maintenance/work described in other reviews was completed as of the end of 2016 so we didn't have to deal with any of the noise or builders that other reviewers have spoken about. We stayed for a week in the height of winter and weren't prepared for how cold Marrakech would get at night. Luckily Veronique provided us with electric blankets to warm us up! Veronique is a kind and personable host and is around just as much (or as little) as you want her to be. The breakfasts provided were delicious and we were always free to use the kitchen if we wanted to. Breakfast up on the terrace in the sunshine was a real bonus! Veronique's maid, Raja, was always around to prepare food and she even offered to prepare us dinner one night, although we were unable to take her up on the offer. After seeing some of the terrible henna we had done in the square, she spent the morning henna-ing intricate designs on our legs instead. So cool! The riad is right in the middle of the Medina which is brilliant if you want to be in the middle of the action. It's down a derb (like a Marrakech-style cul-de-sac) and when you're actually in the riad you can't hear any sound at all. It's incredibly relaxing and peaceful after the craziness of the souqs! It's very easy to get lost finding your way back -- be careful not to ask people for directions as they'll expect payment of some sort. Better to either remember your proper way to the street, or follow Veronique's instructions and always head back to Djemma el-Fna (a 5-10 minute walk) and then up the main road to home. Definitely take a torch, as the lighting in Marrakech isn't always the best (they seem to go for moody and atmospheric rather than useful!) and some of the stairs up to the terrace are dark and a bit uneven in places. I'd highly recommend this riad, it's one of the best airbnb experiences I've had!

Beautiful Riad, nice and central, clean, and with lovely host. SomeConstruction work ongoing while we were there, but this will only make the place even nicer. Thank you for having us!

Veronique was a wonderful host, always helpful, showed us around the area and gave us valuable tips for our Roadtrip around Morocco. The Riad was freshly renovated and had a wonderful rooftop terrace. Location could not be better, it is right in the Medina and only about 10 minutes from the main square, If I come to Marrakesh I will definitely be back! (Cherry on the top was the cutest baby cat you will ever see)

I was traveling with my wife and two daughters (ages 2 and 14), and this was our first stop in Morocco. We were excited about Marrakech in general, and we were very enthusiastic about staying in a riad in the medina. There were a lot of good things about this listing. Veronique was a kind, gentle, and informative host. She helped us get our bearings in the medina and gave us some good recommendations about where to go and what to do (and not do). The place was nice enough - definitely worth the price. The rooftop area is amazing and we had a great time up there in the evenings. The rest of the riad was spotty, but it's important to remember that we visited during Ramadan and Veronique was in the process of doing some substantial work. Some areas (like the bathroom) were tastefully remodeled, but other areas were unfinished, under repair, or unfurnished. The pictures are probably nicer than the actual place (when we were there, at least). It was not as good as some of the other similarly-priced airbnbs we stayed in while in Morocco. Still, we left quite satisfied with our stay here because Veronique was so nice and the location was great.
