Cozy one bedroom apartment in the Uptown area of New Orleans that can sleep up to three (there is a full-size sofa in addition to a high quality queen-sized bed). The apartment has a full kitchen and stove, and a coin-operated washer and dryer in the back. Wi-Fi and cable TV are of course included.
Located in the Black Pearl neighborhood, it is a short walk from the St. Charles Avenue streetcar line. The apartment is 5 blocks from beautiful Audubon Park (and Zoo) and a five minute walk to Super Bowl XLIV MVP and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees' house. It is a ten minute walk through the park to the #11 Magazine Street bus, which goes to many boutiques, bars and restaurants. Also, the Mississippi River is only one block away.
The neighborhood has a great communal feel, so you will truly feel like a New Orleanian during your stay here. Just a few blocks away is an incredible little French restaurant and bakery. Upon your arrival you will receive several guides detailing current local events. I'll be more than happy to give you pointers about food (it's hard to go wrong here), nightlife, entertainment, museums, etc. if you're not familiar with the city. Laissez les bon temps rouler!!!
P.S. Note that weekly rates may vary if the week falls on a major festival or holiday.

Clayton and Katie were wonderful hosts! Their bungalow was perfect for our trip and we very much enjoyed our stay! I would absolutely stay again! Thank you both so much for your hospitality!
The Cozy Uptown Bungalow Near the Park was just as described. It was comfortable, clean, quiet, and near both the trolley and bus routes. Clayton and Katie met me on the first night, offered some suggestions for food, and were flexible about my check out time. Thanks for the lovely stay!
Super sweet space. Perfect for a weekend gateway exploring the magic of New Orleans. Close to Magazine & St. Charles in order to travel to historic sites.
Nice place in a good location, we had a great stay. Clayton went out of his way to give tips for restaurants and entertainment in New Orleans.
I truly enjoyed my stay at Clayton and Katie’s. The weather was VERY cold the day I got there, but they had the house warmed up even before I arrived. They also brought extra blankets (just in case), orange juice, milk, and coffee. The home feels very comfortable: comfortable bed, lots of hot water, room enough to unpack and make yourself at home. The neighborhood feels very safe and is quiet as well. I highly recommend their bungalow as a great place to stay.
Clayton and Kate's bungalow was exactly the type of place I was looking for on my most recent visit to NOLA. They met me the first night and had great suggestions on where to enjoy live music and find great food away from the tourist traps. The place was clean and well-stocked with everything you might need. They were so sweet, providing OJ and cream to go along with a fresh pack of CDM coffee. Having cheap coin-op laundry at the house meant I could pack light and have room in my suitcase to bring home treasures from my travels. The neighborhood was quiet and there is a community garden just behind the house. Overall I had a wonderful time, such a better experience than staying in a hotel!
This place is great! The location is close to the streetcar so getting into downtown is easy, and the neighborhood itself (Uptown) was beautiful. The bungalow itself is well kept and intimate, and we met Clayton and Kate the last night and they were very kind people. This was my first experience with AirBnB, and I couldn't have asked for a better one! Highly recommend this place!
Although we were unable to meet, Clayton left detailed instructions on how to let ourselves in, how to use the space heater (which heats the entire space well once it gets going), and several magazines/ recommendation listings for things to do and places to eat.
Very comfortable bed in a truly NOLA-style home - our new go-to listing for the area!
Clayton and wife Katie were on vacation at the same time we were, so we did not get to meet them. But we visit New Orleans annually to see my husband's family, so we are familiar with the city and didn't need to talk to Clayton in order to get around. He did leave us some books on the city and a paper about the latest happenings, which was helpful, as well as contact information if we had a question. We had to contact him once, and he responded quickly. He was also very generous by leaving us a bottle of wine, chocolate, orange juice and coffee. Thanks, Clayton! We really liked the location and will probably stay in Uptown again. Parking can be an issue in NOLA, but we were able to park right in front. Clayton also left us a list of recommended restaurants, some of which we visited. We also found a few more favorites on Magazine Street. I've always liked that street, but didn't realize how long it was. We spent more time on Magazine than we did in the French Quarter, which is a first! We felt safe in the Uptown area, which we haven't always when staying in the Quarter or Fauborg Marigny.
There are two main rooms, the kitchen and bedroom/living room area. Each has a TV, so my husband took over the kitchen and I hung out on the couch. It was nice to have separate spaces. The bed is really comfortable. Wifi worked great. Shower was great.
This was our second time staying at Clayton's and we had a wonderful time. The apartment is the perfect size for two people staying for a weekend. It's very well situated, close to the quarter, the Garden District, and Magazine St. We had our car with us and there's space to park in front of the house which is very convenient. Clayton was always accessible via the phone and is a very friendly host. We will definitely stay again. Great bargain.
