Come stay in our recently renovated, one hundred year old wooden house, shaded by pecan trees. (Dates currently available for the music conference at SXSW!)
With hardwood floors throughout, there are two bedrooms with queen beds and organic cotton sheets, one which extends into an office that opens through glass doors onto the back lawn; one bathroom with contemporary claw foot tub; a cook's kitchen with stainless steel appliances including pro oven and copper cooking pots; and a comfy living room with a piano and stereo. We have a TV, DVD player, and an iTV that you can connect to your own Netflicks account. The dining area looks through large glass sliding doors onto the deck and backyard with a chiminea. The house is furnished in an elegant combination of contemporary and mid-century design, bespoke lighting, old Texas paraphernalia and antiques, and original artwork.
Austin is an amazing city for music, food, and an outdoor lifestyle, and we're right in the middle of it! We are in a safe and colorful neighborhood, about a 4 block walk to Lady Bird Lake - surrounded by miles of hike and bike trails, parks, and canoe and boat rentals. We are a five minute walk to many of the best places to eat and drink and experience music in the city. We are a perfect location for all that SXSW offers including a 2 minute walk to the Scoot Inn, a 5 minute walk to Fader Fort and East 6th Street, and a 10 minute walk to the convention center and Rainey Street.
We prefer longer stays, and will offer discounts for them, particularly if you don't mind watering the plants! Please inquire.
We had a wonderful time in this very stylish and perfectly located home. No attention to detail was missed! It was very close to the river for a nice morning run or a 5 minute drive to all the fabulous restaurants and music venues. There are also coffee shops, food trucks and restaurants in walking distance. Austin is a wonderful city to visit!! Thank you Paul and Jessica!!
Great location and house for a weekend in Austin. Eastside has plenty of great options to see and do. House was an easy walk to downtown and a number of destinations. Listing of house was very accurate and more than met all our needs for a weekend stay.
The most perfect place to stay on the east side! Adorable place and Paul was so helpful. It made my busy week at SX much more enjoyable.
Phenomenal home with an easy walk to town. A perfect stay.
J & P were the consummate hosts! House was absolutely adorable, it was the perfect SxSy abode and made for a perfect Austin home-base.
They even drove us to the Airport when the cab wait was going to be 2 hours. Don't think you can get much more full service than that.
Beautiful house loved all the finishes and details. The backyard was a great bonus loved sitting outside eating on the patio. Easy walk to downtown or a quick ride via cab. Will definitely try to stay here again when I'm back in Austin.
Paul greeted me with a smiling face into his very comfortable home. The house is stylish and equipped with everything you need whether you're hosting a dinner party or just in town for a downtime relaxation gig. Either way, you'll be very happy and comfortable here.
The house is located in East Austin which has a slightly different feel than the rest of the Austin area in a fairly quiet residential neighborhood. It is within a short walk to a bevy of totally happening bars and east side hangouts. In fact I'd go as far to say that the east side is probably worth a weekend visit on its own.
J's home was beautifully decorated and perfectly located on the east side of Austin. Check in was super easy, the listing was spotlessly clean, and communication was a breeze. The only thing I'd recommend: if you're planning on coming to Austin without renting car, consider applying for a Car2Go membership-- it'll make it easier to get around.
Such a beautiful place! We were in town for a film festival and rushing around but I wish we could have spent more time here because it has such a great feel. Very comfortable, well designed, decorated. You'll feel right at home immediately. This is the kind of place you'd like to hang and relax in though if you're coming to Austin you're probably out 24/7 at a festival and this is a great easy place to come back to after a long day as well.
Nice neighborhood minutes away from downtown either by walking or a quick cab (download the Hail Cab Austin app if you're not renting a car). A ton of cool restaurants, bar spot right in the neighborhood, Cenote is our cafe recommendation. Two bedrooms which are spacious and very comfortable. Definitely recommended and definitely the first place I'll come back to when I return to Austin.
The house is as beautiful as it appears in the images. J. Valentine has an amazing eye for style and comfort. The location was ideal for a home base for the 3 day weekend we spent in Austin. We headed to S.Congress one day, DT another and East for one evening, always finding our way back easily to the quiet little neighborhood where the Stylin' b sits.
In between our runs on Austin we lounged on the back deck over wine, sipped coffee on the front porch with a view of the amazing landscape of the front yard, and generally made ourselves right at home, that is, if our home was a wonderfully charming and hip oasis.
