About This Listing
Large bedroom in a spacious two-bedroom apartment with gorgeous views of the New York City skyline.
This is a two-bedroom apartment on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River waterfront, directly across the river from midtown Manhattan.
The room that is available for rent is the main bedroom, which has a queen-sized bed that sleeps two people comfortably.
There is wifi throughout the apartment for use with your own laptop or handheld device.
The living room has a sofa, air conditioning, cable television, blu-ray/DVD player and an audio receiver with speakers for your entertainment.
We have a fully-equipped kitchen with dinnerware, glassware and cutlery for all your cooking and dining needs, and one full bathroom with a shower and bathtub.
With the exception of the kitchen, there is an unobstructed view of Manhattan from all rooms in the apartment.
Street parking is available for those with a car. Visitor parking passes are required for weekday parking, so let us know if you're driving in - the passes cost about $3.00 per 24 hour period.
Those without a car, worry not...midtown Manhattan, where you can easily access every NYC subway line, is a short bus or ferry ride away. The bus stops to and from NYC are practically at the building's door step. If you plan on spending most of your time in NYC, I definitely recommend taking the bus rather than driving.
We have a supermarket, post office, pharmacy and several convenience stores all within walking distance. There are also several food and beverage options in the neighborhood, both within walking distance and for home delivery.
Last, but definitely not least, we have a balcony with seating for your enjoyment. You can enjoy your morning coffee or tea out there or just spend some time admiring the beautiful NYC skyline. This is a great apartment...we love living here, and you will love visiting!
Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks for stopping by!
Guests have access to the main bedroom and all common areas of the apartment. The second bedroom is currently being occupied and is off limits.
Interaction with Guests
I am currently traveling, but am easy to connect with via email and whatsapp. My friend who occupies the second bedroom is very friendly and easy to communicate with as well. You´ll have a lot of time on your own, but won´t have trouble getting in touch in case you need something.
The neighbrhood is ethnically diverse and the neighbors are friendly.
Public transportation to NYC runs frequently and is fast and convenient.
Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment, but you may smoke on the balcony. Please do not throw cigarette butts off the balcony, whether lit or not lit. Instead, put your cigarette out when you are done, and dispose of the butt in a garbage can inside the apartment. Please make sure it is completely off before disposing of it.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the building, so you won't be able to bring your furry friend with you.
Please keep the noise down after 10pm on weeknights, and 11pm on weekends...I wouldn't want to disturb my neighbors during your stay. Along those lines, I ask that you not host any parties while staying at my place, or invite any guests to the apartment that were not included in your original reservation.
This was my first Airbnb Experience and I immediately rented the place for 3 months, which was kind of exciting and maybe a bit scaring as well. I can honestly tell all of you that I felt at home after one day. Vanessa's place is wonderful! It's beautifully decorated, and the view is breathtaking!
During my stay, I was so lucky to live with Vanessa's roommate Glenda. She's officially one of the most amazing people I've met in my entire life. She made my stay unforgettable. I came to the USA all on my own for the first time, and she made sure that I got to meet a lot of people (and believe me, they're all perfection)! I can't imagine my stay without her, and I feel really blessed that I met her.
In general, if all Airbnb experiences are like this (what I highly doubt), you better be prepared because it will be hard to go home again.
Vanessa is a wonderful host! Even though she wasn't there during my stay, she made sure to inform me about everything very precisely and I could reach her whenever I wanted. Besides that, she's also a wonderful human being with a very big heart. Her words and support have helped me so much, for which I am very grateful.
Thank you Vanessa and Glenda for everything...I owe you both a lot!
Vanessa is very nice, helpfull and kind person!
She let us share the appartment with herself. We had our own room, but we were using the kitchen and the living room as well.
It was a very pleasent stay!
DON'T THINK THAT NEW JERSEY IS FAR FROM MANHATTAN.
It took us 15-25 minutes to get to the heart of Manhattan by bus.
I will deffinitely come to this place again next time!
My friends and I had the pleasure of staying at Vanessa's apartment for 1 week. Vanessa is an excellent host, she was easy to communicate with in organising our stay and gave us plenty of helpful tips that made our stay in New York so enjoyable. The apartment itself is beautiful, well maintained and in a great building. There was more than enough space for myself and two friends. The apartment is in a lovely neighbourhood and the commute into Manhattan is easy and convenient . I would love to stay here again and would definately recommded staying here!
About the Host, Vanessa
I love music, food, traveling, languages, yoga, film, art, photography, reading, dancing, and cooking. I am a New Yorker by birth, but my parents are from Colombia and Chile, so I speak English and Spanish fluently. I have been learning to speak Portuguese and French over the past several years. I really enjoy meeting and getting to know people from other parts of the world.
I take great pride in the appearance and condition of my own home, and try to make sure it is always comfortable, clean and in working order. I would treat your home in the same manner.
Anything else you want to know, just ask!
