This is a big bedroom in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment that receives natural light all day, in a safe and quiet neighbourhood, the perfect base for your New York City experience
It is only 1 block away from the Marcy JMZ subway station which takes you into Manhattan in less than 5 minutes (one stop!) and will get you to central park in just over 20 minutes. This apartment is also very close to all amenities you will need, shops, restaurants, laundromats, cafes, parks, etc, and only 5-10 minutes walk to where all the main action happens in Williamsburg around Bedford Avenue.
The room itself has a double bed, draws, built in closet, central heat and air conditioner. The kitchen is big, containing everything needed to prepare a home cooked meal. There is also a very comfortable lounge room with very comfortable couches where you can kickback and relax, listen to music, read a book, hang out. I have a range of different reading materiel about the history of NYC and maps that you can use. The building dates back to 1910, it has no elevator and my apartment is located on the 4th floor. Also, feel free to help yourself to tea, coffee and beers that are usually in the kitchen, basically, make yourself feel at home!
Free WiFi access.
See you soon :)

P.S. A good friend and i have just rented an amazing 3 bedroom apartment that has plenty of room that would definitely suit your stay here in NYC. If my place is booked already, check this place out!
We had the best of times at Matt's place. We stayed at his place for 3 weeks and he totally made us feel at home. The bed is super comfy and the apartment is big. There is everything you need in the kitchen and his place is 1 block away from Marcy Ave station (J, M, Z trains) and all the shops around Broadway and Marcy Ave.
He lives in a Hasidic Jew building which can be a bit weird at first but we got used to it after like 2 days.
The neighbourhood is safe at night and you are a $15 cab ride from Downtown Manhattan, and if you prefer hanging out in Brooklyn, he is a 5 min walk from the up and coming Bedford Ave district.
Definitely recommend his place, and definitely staying here next time!
Matthew was great. I got in rather late at night on Christmas Day and he went out of his way to make sure that I was able to check in to the apartment easily. The space is very convenient to the Subway, the room is large, and the whole apartment is very clean. I'd definitely stay here again.
Matt was fantastic host! The room was big, the bed was comfortable and the apartment was a welcome refuge from the city. He gave me advice on the lay of the land, where to go and what to see etc. I didn't see him much due to his work schedule, but the times I did were great. On the last night we went out and had a few drinks at at a cool spot just down the road. Recommended.
I spent a few days at Mat's place. Mat is very easy to communicate with, easygoing and ready to help giving all the information you need. The flat is very well located, so close to the station and cool places. It's quiet, bright and clean. The bed is comfortable, the room big and quiet, and the sofa the most comfy I've ever seen. I felt good at his very cosy place and definitely recommend it!
Matthew is a good host: even if we only met twice he's been very kind and careful. The position was really good too: just a short walk from the subway station. The apartment vas nice and clean.
The stay was enjoyable and Matt was a good host. The apartment was as described. The bed was comfortable, the bedroom was sizeable, and the apartment was only three blocks from a major street and subway station. Recommended.
I was in NYC for work and needed a place in a good neighborhood and close to the train. Matthew's apartment is an A+ in this respect.
The apartment is clean and well-kept. Matthew is a gracious and accommodating host. The room is warm and cozy and the easy chair in the room is very comfortable. I miss it already.
The J train to Manhattan is less than two blocks away, and a whole host of restaurants -- quick, sitdown, takeout -- are within walking distance.
Mathew was very responsive by email and arranging things ahead of time was a breeze. His place was clean and just as described. It is only a few blocks from the Marcy subway stop that goes right into Manhattan. Apt was very quiet at night. It is in the heart of an orthodox Jewish community, which I found quite interesting.
Mathew is certainly a good person. We couldn´t talk too much with him because of his work.
The house is in the Jewish quarter but has no effect on safety. On the other hand, and this is a fundamental issue, you are just one stop from Manhattan. Good luck with everything Mathew.
We had a chance to meet Matt at the last day that we will leave however he was a nice host. The house location is good ( close to metro station to Manhattan, safe neighbourhood).
The house was clean and kitchen is full with kitchen supplies.
