Elle could not have been more accommodating during my stay. She checked in to see how I was doing at regular intervals. She followed up immediately on anything I asked for, all while in the midst of giving birth to her first child. I would stay anywhere she is hosting.

My wife and I spent a glorious month in Elle's apartment in June. While we were a little nervous about spending a month in a studio apartment, this ended up not being a concern at all. The high ceilings, king-sized bed and extra-large sofa made the space seem much larger than its actual size. While it would probably require some real culinary expertise and acrobatic skills to prepare a formal dinner in the small kitchen, why would you want to do this anyway given all the incredible dining options at your doorstep? The kitchen is perfect for preparing breakfast and lunch but my advise would be to forego cooking dinner and simply avail yourself to all the wonderful eating options in the West (and East) Village. Elle has decorated the apartment with an eclectic vision and casual elegance that makes it feel like home. All the decorations in the apartment clearly have a personal story behind them and create a funky charm that fits right in with the vibe of the neighborhood. The apartment is located on an extremely vibrant and active street and is within a couple of minutes walk to two subway stations which made navigating the city a breeze. While the street can get noisy, this noise was primarily the lovely sounds of people eating, drinking and enjoying life (not the sound of cars, sirens and drunken brawls) and it was exceptionally quiet by 11:00 every night. I particularly liked the fact that I could walk just a few blocks from the apartment and be able to access the Hudson River Greenway, where I could run with hundreds of other New Yorkers up to Hell's Kitchen or down to Battery Park. We also spent some great Sunday mornings in Washington Square Park leisurely reading the New York Times while listening to great jazz combos and enjoying exceptional bagels. It was like scene out of a Woody Allen movie (but without the existential angst and psychological neuroses)! Elle, in short, was a perfect host and the apartment was an exceptional value. Thanks for sharing your home with us, we will never forget it.

We really enjoyed staying at Elle's apartment in the West Village. It is extremely well located close to lots of restaurants, cafes, the subway and the Hudson River. The apartment is well appointed with everything you need from toiletries to cooking equipment. While it's compact we felt very comfortable in the several weeks we spent there. The bed is large and super comfortable. Elle is a great host, very responsive and helpful and we were well looked after.

I had an absolutely flawless stay at Elle's home. The place itself is beautiful - a very spacious studio by NYC standards and full of thoughtful touches. The location is amazing: right in the heart of the West Village, on a block that's both quiet and quintessentially New York at the same time. I was here for a month, and Elle checked in on me regularly to see if I needed anything. All in all, I give this stay a 10/10!

This place is even more cosy then the pictures look. A great location with a subway a short stroll away. The little details are what made this place great. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The shower was hot with great pressure and the towels are luxury. Having a place to make a cup of tea and comfortably enjoy it made a huge difference to my trip. Elle met us on our arrival, she was welcoming and checked on us during our stay. You deal with her - not a concierge service! I highly recommend this little gem. Thank you Elle, such a great experience and stay.

Elle is a perfect host. My husband and myself stayed in her apartment for 8 nights and we will definitely want to stay there again. Elle made us very at home and the space was truly comfortable. Elle is so communicative, warm-hearted, careful, plus adorable! Her place is very clean and very lovely with personal touches everywhere. The bed was the best I have ever slept in. Location is amazing! Very convenient to Houston subway station. Excellent restaurants across Jack's wife Freda and next door - Grey Dog. I will recommend this place :)!

We loved staying at Elle's apartment. It was so central to everything we wanted to do, and the streets surrounding it in the West Village were stunning!! The blossom trees everywhere were just breathtaking! The apartment itself was exactly as pictured, nothing to hide here, Elle has provided everything you could possibly need for your stay so just bring your clothes! It was nice having hot showers, the bathroom was clean and fresh and had a blow dryer and hair straighter for us girls to use. Plenty of bath towels and a very comfy bed. The kitchen had everything you needed, although we mainly ate out as we were on holidays and who wants to cook whilst on holidays! The nights we did stay in, we watched reruns of friends on Netflix haha.. It was freezing cold when we were there in April, but the building heating certainly works! We had to open the windows a little to let some cooler air in. There is a great cafe 2 doors up from the apartments called Grey Dog, food is great and so is the coffee. I don't have anything bad to say, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again. So close to major subway lines, we could get anywhere within 15 minutes. Felt safe at all times. Thank you Elle!
