Located right in the heart of the city centre, Campo de Fiori is one of the most characteristic places of interest in Rome, a square which bustles with life at every hour of the day and night. Indeed, every morning the entire square is taken over by a fruit and vegetable market, while in the afternoon it is possible to browse the crafts shops and boutiques which line its sides and in the evening the whole square comes alive with numerous restaurants, pizzerias, wine bars and clubs.
Campo de Fiori makes an ideal base for visitors wishing to visit the city of Rome on foot with historic sites such as the Pantheon, Castel Sant’Angelo, Piazza Navona, Trastevere, the Jewish ghetto and Piazza Venezia all within easy reach of a pleasant stroll.
Accessed by a single flight of stairs, the apartment is situated on the first floor of a 15th century palazzo, a listed building in a quiet corner of the centre of Rome. The apartment is deliberately furnished in a modern style with many design pieces carefully selected to contrast the original features of the ancient building. The result is a perfect fusion of historic and contemporary art as can be seen in the careful juxtaposition of the early 19th century walnut and marble chest of drawers, the crystal chandelier and the glass panelled bedroom door.
The apartment is composed of an elegant sitting room with single sofa bed and fully furnished kitchenette equipped with oven, dishwasher, dining table and all necessary utensils, above which there is a suspended gallery floor (h 2 m) furnished with a double bed (140 x 190 cm).
The master bedroom (with double bed) is furnished in shades of white and features various elements of historic interest such as a drinking fountain (probably dating back to the late middle ages) at the side of the bed, now used as a bedside table, and a marble panel on the opposite wall.
The bathroom, which is fitted with a shower, is furnished with design elements such as a crystal washbasin and an illuminated mirror, while in the wall next to the window it is possible to see part of the original Roman guttering of the ancient palazzo.
The apartment is also fitted with an air-conditioning system, washing and drying machine, LCD TV, and stereo CD player.
Finally, the apartment is lined with a lacunar ceiling, while the kitchenette and sitting room are divided by an ancient red brick archway and the bedroom door is surmounted by an delightful angel’s wing. The originality and attention to detail with which the apartment is furnished will make your holiday in Rome an unforgettable experience and this time not only as a result of the beauty of the Eternal City!
Located off a quiet little square, tricky to find at first but convenient for access to Campo Fiori area. One flight of steps no problem unless you have lots of heavy luggage. Decor is lots of fun. Cleverly designed kitchen is stocked everything you could need. Nice bath as well. Wi-Fi worked very well. Greeter was very helpful in providing instructions and directions. We enjoyed our stay. Only negative is area outside apartment doorway that has some unsightly maintenance debris, mops etc.
Super zentrale, schöne Wohnung. Wir haben uns gleich zuhause gefühlt! Und zu viert war dann auch der Preis in Ordnung...
Wir würden wieder kommen!
If you're looking for a place to stay in Rome, look no further. The apartment was incredibly well designed, spacious, and the space was used well. As a New Yorker I've come to expect the best in terms of housing and amenities, and this apartment has it all; great location close to Campo, Trastevere, the ruins, and Piazza Navona, a washer and dryer (great if you're travelling light), a very functional kitchen, and a beautiful bathroom (I particularly enjoyed the rain shower head). Daniella and Sara were easy to communicate with, accommodating my early arrival with applomb. Three cheers to Campo de Fiori 3!
The apartment is centrally located very close to Piazza Argentina. It takes five to ten minutes to walk to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Piazza Vittorio Emanuel. We were a group of four and stayed for three nights. The communication with the hosts was excellent. Their response was very quick when the water heater broke down - they sent a repair team immediately and the problem was fixed right away. The apartment is very clean, the two matrimonial beds are very comfortable - we rested very well. The only drawback was the fact that in May 2012 when we were there, the building in which the apartment was located was being remodeled and the staircase was a bit dusty. Other than that, no problem. We would recommend this place to our friends. Very good location for the money.
A very interesting accomodation in the old district of Rome. Charming little street, initially a puzzle to find, but later the location seems just right- with direct access to Trastevere "night spot" as well as most of the historical sightseeings.
Service was good and polite. Price affordable and corresponds to the quality of accomodation.
Enjoyed the stay and can certainly recommend others. Enjoy Rome!
If you're looking for a romantic place in the best area of Rome, do not hesitate. The appartment is just great. Thank you Rubina!!!!
