Stay in a cozy, rustic 1980s A-frame with a cedar hot tub and fast Wi-Fi. This is an older, simple mountain cabin with vintage character. 3 min to the Wenatchee River and Plain, 25 min to Leavenworth, and 35 min to Stevens Pass. Set in a woodsy neighborhood, *not secluded. The open loft has 3 beds. The cedar hot tub is reached by an outdoor walking path and is ** not private. Hot tub is use at your own risk.

Welcome to Little Bear Cabin, a cozy rustic 1980s A-frame with fast Wi-Fi, a cedar hot tub kept around 103°F, a wood-burning stove, and lots of vintage mountain-cabin character. Please keep in mind that this is an older, simple A-frame, with the quirks and finishes you would expect from a cabin of its age.
The cabin works especially well for couples, small families, and remote workers looking for a comfortable mountain base close to skiing, hiking, climbing, rivers, and lakes. It is most comfortable for 1–3 guests, with a maximum of 4.
Sleeping loft
There is one open sleeping loft upstairs with three beds: two queen beds and one twin bed. There are no separate bedrooms or doors. A curtain can divide the loft into two sides for some visual privacy, but sound travels throughout the open space.
Each side of the loft has a small balcony and a dresser, but there are no upstairs closets. If you need separate bedrooms or a high level of privacy, this cabin may not be the best fit.
Living area and kitchen
The main floor has a cozy living area, couch, wood-burning stove, dining table that also works well as a desk, and a small fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has the basics for preparing meals, but it is simple and there is no dishwasher.
Cedar hot tub
The natural cedar hot tub sits behind the cabin and is reached by a short outdoor dirt path. It is surrounded by trees but is not fully private or secluded, and neighboring cabins may be visible from the hot tub area.
Neighborhood and surroundings
Little Bear Cabin is located in a peaceful, wooded cabin neighborhood rather than on a secluded property. There are neighboring cabins quite close by on both sides, across the street, and throughout the surrounding community. The cabin sits along the main road through the neighborhood.
The area is generally quiet, but on summer weekends you may see and hear neighbors, people walking or cycling, passing cars, and occasional ATVs or other outdoor recreation vehicles. If you are looking for a completely private or isolated cabin in the woods, this property may not be the right fit. If you enjoy the atmosphere of a small mountain cabin community, it is a lovely home base for exploring the area.
Winter guests
The cabin receives frequent snowfall. The outdoor path to the hot tub is not shoveled and can become icy or difficult to use during winter conditions. Please bring winter footwear and consider microspikes for walking around the property. All winter guests should also carry tire chains and be prepared for snowy mountain-road conditions.
Dogs
One very well-behaved and fully house-trained dog is welcome for a $75 pet fee per stay.
Nearby
Plain Hardware, the local coffee shop, grocery store, and Old Mill Cafe are about a 3-minute drive or 30-minute walk from the cabin. Plain Hardware also rents ski and snow equipment during winter.
Several wineries are nearby along Chiwawa Loop Road, including Plain Cellars, Eagle Creek Winery, and Icicle Ridge Winery.

One very well behaved and house trained dog is allowed for a 75 dollar fee. If you are wanting to bring your pup the following house rules must be followed:
Dogs are not allowed on any furniture or beds, or house blanket, pillows or house towels - no exceptions.
Please bring your own dog bedding and dog towels and crate.
Dogs must be crated if ever left alone.
All pet waste outside must be picked up and thrown away properly.
No dogs are allowed in the back of the house where the hot tub is.
Dogs are not allowed in the bathtub or bathroom in the house.

If you are taking the Chumstick highway either to or from Leavenworth please note there are a couple areas where cell phone service drops out a bit! Either download your map to the cabin on your phone or print directions to the cabin if you need to in-case your gps cuts out mid-way through the drive.
You don't need to go far for breakfast and lunch! The Plain Hardware store is so much more than a hardware store! It has a really cute gift shop and coffee shop inside. Next door to the hardware store is a grocery store and there is restaurant open for breakfast and lunch and closes a couple days mid week in the winter. Drive by for the current schedule hours.
