Nested in the mountains of Avery County with wonderful mountain views and the soothing sounds of the creek, you'll find Creekside Campsites. Splash in the creek, play volleyball or sit around the campfire. Cook your own meals or enjoy local restaurants. Relax, hike, golf, tubing, white water rafting, or visit wineries or breweries. You'll feel like you're in the middle of nowhere but it's only a 10 minute drive to the town of Spruce Pine, or the Blue Ridge Parkway or Linville Falls.

The space
Campsite #2, tent not included. Included is: Picnic table, fire pit, propane stove and lantern and charcoal grill. Bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Firewood is available onsite for $5 a bundle (cash).
BRING YOUR OWN TENT, sleeping bags, blankets, towels, flashlights, drinking water, bug spray, etc. Bathhouse available with hot water shower, sink, and camping toilet. When temps are expected to be below freezing, we shut off the water, but the toilet is available. Most do not get cell service at the campsite. Some get service in the parking lot. Driving 5 minutes down the road you will have service.

Parking is a couple minutes walk away from site #2.
Other things to note
No smoking inside the bathhouse.
You must let us know, in advance, if you are bringing a dog. Dog must be well behaved, quieted, cleaned up after, on a leash when off campsite, and never left unattended.
Please respect the other campers by observing quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am
Water in bathhouse is not potable. Bring drinking water.
Whenever leaving the campsite be sure to zip all windows and doors closed.
Before checking out-
neaten campsite and place bagged trash in large trash can by bathhouse.

Even though our physical address is Newland, it’s a 20-30 minute drive up to downtown Newland. There are convenience stores and gas stations just 6 minutes down the road in Spruce Pine. Restaurants and a grocery store are 10-20 minutes and Walmart is 15 minutes away.
The Blue Ridge Parkway and many places to explore are close by too.
