Peaceful Cottage Getaway Near Algonquin – Pet Friendly & Family Ready

Just 45 minutes from Algonquin Park, our cozy lakefront cottage offers the peace and tranquility you’re looking for—without needing to go anywhere else. Surrounded by nature and beautiful in every season, it’s a classic cottage experience with just the right everyday comforts.

This open-concept retreat features a gas fireplace that heats the space beautifully, a well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches throughout. There’s also a window A/C unit for hot days (central air coming soon), along with fans for added comfort.

We’re located just 3 hours from Toronto and 2 hours, 20 minutes from Ottawa—making it the perfect escape for a weekend getaway or a longer stay.

Please Note: If you have pet allergies, please bring any necessary medication—we do our best to keep things clean, but pet hair can be persistent!

Sleeping Arrangements:

Bedroom 1: Full bed

Bedroom 2: Queen bed

Bedroom 3: Bunk beds (full bottom, twin top)

Living Room: Couch & loveseat

Bunkie (4th bedroom): Pull-out couch + bunk beds (unheated, no bathroom). Bunkie beds come with sleeping bags only (no comforters).


All indoor beds have sheets and extra pillows. Two sleeping bags/blankets are available for pull-out couches.

Quiet Hours: 10 PM – 8 AM
Please respect our neighbors. Noise complaints may result in being asked to vacate. No extra guests permitted at any time; unauthorized guests will result in added charges.

Extended Stays Welcome:
Stays longer than 14 nights are often available—just reach out!

Optional Add-on:
Ice fishing hut and equipment available for an additional fee—please inquire.

Guests have exclusive access to the entire cottage and bunkie, with the exception of two clearly marked storage rooms designated as private.

This is your chance to unwind, reflect, and enjoy the simple joys of cottage life. Inside, you’ll find a game cabinet stocked with family-friendly games for all ages—perfect for cozy evenings or rainy days.

A Few Helpful Notes for Your Stay:

Door Code: Once you receive your door code, please save it in your phone (notes or photos), as internet access may be limited upon arrival.

Lifejackets: Lifejackets are provided in the bunkie—please wear them when using watercraft, as local regulations may result in fines without them.

Towels: Bath towels are provided, but we kindly ask that you bring your own beach towels.

Pet-Friendly: We love welcoming pets! While we do our best to keep the space clean, please be mindful if you have allergies—pet hair, like glitter, can be persistent.

Storage: Two closets are locked for storage, and you may notice a few items in the freezer—these are for occasional visits with our children and dog, and we appreciate your understanding.

Neighborhood highlights

There is a great park around the corner(see pictures) it has pavilions, a beach, washrooms and a great park to enjoy! Bancroft which is 30 minutes away and has many beautiful little shops and has everything you need. My personal favorite shop is called the Old Tin Shed, there is also a Canadian Tire, Grocery stores, Hospital, Bancroft Brewing Restaurant, Tim Horton’s, Beer Store, LCBO, McDonald’s, etc.

Also near Algonquin park and Barry's Bay.(hospital)
