Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
With easy highway access, and conveniently situated equidistance from Soulard, Lafayette Square, Tower Grove South, and Cherokee St, this custom designed space is not only an experience on its own, but a perfect base for exploring The Gateway City. Surround yourself with art, literature, and the homie comforts that set ArtBnB aside from staunch hotel chains. A lightly stocked kitchen, library, garden, patio, deck, grill, fire pit, wine rack, kennel, and toiletries are all included.

The space
A growing gallery alongside custom alterations make this space the perfect hideaway to find/lose yourself in the heart of St.Louis.

Much of the art and features in the space are now "discoverable", with interactive QR code Easter eggs, linking to 'making of' videos and artist portfolios.

THIS IS A PRIVATE 1 BEDROOM APARTMENT, is equipped with a queen pillow top, a folding cot, 2 small couches, a LuvSac. 4 guests is the MAXIMUM ALLOWED OVERNIGHT CAPACITY, without prior authorization. If you require a larger space, please see our ArtBnB 2.0 listing.

Guest access
3 lot property also includes ArtBnB 2.0, shared-space ArtBn3, our creative studio space, fenced in yard, carriage house, open patio, native plant rain gardens, and 7 raised beds. We qualify as a monarch butterfly sanctuary (milkweed patch), and hope to develop a neighborhood beirgarten on our attached lot. Solar powered since 2020. Guests have access to all shared outdoor spaces.

New-ish: chickens and bees! If you or any youngsters would like an introduction, let us know ahead of your stay, and we will do our best to accommodate.

Entering the Space: 7 steps up the front stoop, or 9 steps to ascend the back deck.
Our most accessible unit, as we are in a historic district.

We hope to add a ramp in the backyard, so everyone can enjoy ArtBnB; but haven't built it yet.

Other things to note
Soothing, natural base palettes delicately ground the bombastic, experimental accent murals, which in turn frame a refined collection of female-driven art prints, watercolors, and whimsical accoutrement, lending the space a malleability fit for any mood or occasion, as a tranquil cacophony.

I am an Earth-loving semi-retired gramma, who enjoys gardening, traveling, and my chickens. I own the complex with my son, Nick, who is a local theatre producer, renovator, and occasional mixed media artist. He is traveling, doing charity work elsewhere, but hits St.Louis on his way. He is the most featured artist, but I did the stained glass!

ArtBnb 1.0 was first! Through the tao of daily maintenance and growth within that space, we've learned that we've a knack for it, and enjoy formulating positive guest experiences.

My work: Just bed & breakfast
I spend too much time: worrying
I try to reduce my carbon footprint whenever possible and have solar energy, energy efficient appliances, get 50 mpg in my car...I even use toilet paper made of bamboo to help save the forests! I have fixed up my 137 year old home with the help of some family and friends and it seems to be a never ending project - but satisfying when I get to a stopping point and look at the changes. I love hosting and hope you enjoy your stay in my home too.
