We really enjoyed our 5 nights in Pahala. The cottage is cute, comfortable and well-done. The kitchen is a nice convenience. A big plus is the community swimming pool that we were welcome to use everyday. To spend much time hiking in the volcano that is the best location!
Julia is very nice, although the photos make the house look a tad more luxurious than it is. Also, if you're planning to use the kitchen, be sure to pick up basics like cooking oil, tea/coffee etc.

Aloha, I am a newspaper and magazine editor who also restores historic homes in our village of Pahala. I host a daily news show online and educational workshops at Pahala Plantation House. I am also involved in a preservation movement to conserve the longest uninhabited coast in Hawai`i, which is along the seashore below our village.
