Interaction with Guests
Depends on how busy we are, we work both from home, and are sometimes offsite at our studio. Sometimes we are here all day and can have brief conversations, but generally if we are at home working we ask that people be considerate of our time.
We live on a quiet and safe residential block, in Fishtown one of the artsiest neighborhoods in Philadelphia, and with great nightlife and food options.
We are walking distance from many neighborhood hotspots: go dancing at the Barbary, drink beer out of a giant stein at Frankford Hall, have a terrific microbrew at Kraftwork, catch shows at Johnny Brenda's, go to an art opening at one of the many neighborhood galleries, or have an Italian feast at Modo Mio.
We are also very close to other great neighborhoods like Northern Liberties and Old City, both just south of us. Center City is just a short 10 min. subway ride away.
We are 5 blocks from the Market Frankford line (MFL), which will take you most anywhere you want to go in Philadelphia. (11mins to center city, 15 min to 30 st train station) 3 blocks from the Trolley, and numerous bus lines.
We are also right near i95, Delaware ave and the Ben Franklin Bridge.
Other Things to Note
If you have severe cat allergies this is not the place for you.
The cat is not allowed in the bedrooms so anyone with minor allergies will do fine.
*No smoking in the house.
*No shoes in the house.
*Once we discuss a check in time, we ask that you call us if you are running late or your plans have changed. We also ask that you call or text when you are about a half an hour from the house.
*The cat is not allowed in the bedroom. (But the rest of the house is free game for snuggling)
*Feel free to look at/read our collection of books, but be nice to them please.
*Please don't put glasses directly on wood surfaces in the house.
*Sebastien has a mild allergy to most perfumes, so please refrain from spraying excess amounts of perfume, or using large amounts of perfumed products.
*Please be considerate of other guests when coming in and leaving in the morning/ evening.
*Please be considerate of other guests in the amount of time you take getting ready/ showering in the bathrooms. (As in, if there are two other guests in the house, use your common sense and don't spend 2 hours showering and primping.)
This was a very comfortable room and perfect as a base to explore philadelphia. Short walk to the metro station which can bring you into the city centre. Also has a lot of nice bars in the neighbourhood.
Sari and Sebastien were very friendly and were good hosts.
Sari and Sebastien were great hosts! Very friendly, and helpful. The location was great, and the place was very clean. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone. It was a great experience in Philadelphia.
The room and the house where incredibly good. I loved the place, it´s really clean and organized. The room is exactly as in the pictures, the bed is conformatble although the room can be really bright when the sun comes out because the courtains do not block the light. Check in and check out were really easy even if they were not at home. They provide an book with instructions in the table by the bed that will help you a lot if you don´t know the neighbourhood and also Philly.
I felt the neighbourhood kinda not safe at night when I came back walking from the metro (which is really close to), so if you don´t have a car, you may feel a bit uncomfortable on the way back from the metro to the house.
Sebastian worked out check-in with me and had some good suggestions of where to eat. The neighborhood was quiet and cool.
The room was as advertised and Sari and Sebastian's place was lovely.
I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect about staying here. It was my 1st time in Philly & I wanted to get a feel for the city, so I chose Fishtown after recommendations. Vibe of the neighborhood was excellent w/ record shops, bars, restaurants & coffee all within short walking distance.
Sari & Sebastien were both very kind & inviting. I ran a few hours late on my initial check-in and it was no big deal to them so that made me feel right at home. And let me say -their home is sooooo clean & cozy. I loved the little orange room - memory foam mattress made for a comfy sleep. Newly redone & very large bathroom. It was quiet & even had a lovely garden out back. I will definitely try to stay here again. A perfect airbnb experience.
Sari and Sebastien were punctual and courteous in communications leading up to the visit. The house and facilities were modern, beautiful, and clean. The bathroom especially was spotless. The bedroom we stayed in was clearly kept very clean with new linens. Noise in the house was kept to a minimum, we often felt as if we were the only people ever there. We felt comfortable and welcome throughout the entire trip. Most importantly, the cat was a sweetheart, singing us the song of her people each morning at an appropriate hour. Would stay again, hoping to by the end of the summer.
Sari and Sebastien are very nice hosts! The room and even the rest of the house was very clean and tidy. Very helpful is the book with tips for sightseeings and bars/restaurants. Sari and Sebastien are even open to answer questions and help you out. I would come back. :)

About the Host, Sari And Sebastien
Sari and Sébastien are a couple of New York expats living in Philadelphia. We have a nice and cozy home that we love sharing with guests. Sebastien has lived all over the world and can speak to you in French, or possibly poor Spanish. Sari is just from New Jersey and can speak highly competent English to you. We are both artists and creatives. Between the two of us we design, illustrate, teach, and make art.
Honorable mention goes to our rotund but friendly kitty, Ku.
